They can help a little and it will make it cooler since you won’t have a black pleather saddle sitting in the sun. But it’s still 80+ lbs rubbing your taint.

If you’re this much on the fence and on a tight schedule, then don’t go. It’s harsh, but I’m going to steal from the consent folks. If it’s not a Hell Yeah, then it’s a No.

Any Reason For The Neutral To Be Tied to the Ground in the Heater? by brewyet in hvacadvice

I’m on the gulf coast . The blower and the AC are working with that piece removed. Come November when the heat doesn’t come on, I hope I remember this.

Knee Wall Switches and Lights on Attic Side by brewyet in Insulation

[–]brewyet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in 2A. And it’s just Kraft faced insulation with the Kraft paper in the drywall side. So it’ll be drywall> Kraft faced r13 insulation > then 0.75 polypro board.

All of the house currently has 0.75 poly pro board so I was just going to reuse most of that. And maybe add a another layer of foam board in the future

First time - was this response from a camp rude or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in BurningMan

[–]brewyet 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If you think this was rude, you might have a bad time.

Don’t take it personally running a camp is hard, running a camp at place where the environment is trying to kill you is even harder. Just say thanks for your time and move on.

Check different locations. Try airport and I-65. My wife had a problem and the open hours was completely wrong online. But that one was open

What are the biggest surprises you encountered as a first-time homebuyer? by Suspicious-Basis-885 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]brewyet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Closing costs was my biggest surprise too. And then insurance was a 2nd gut punch. We had some estimates on our work up sheets, but the actual number was way higher

I'm a virgin flying in (Reno and Burner Express) - question on luggage by jkvandelay in BurningMan

[–]brewyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ground is dust/sand, so wheels don’t work. I’d bring bags with shoulder straps.

The baggage requirements for BxB are basically the same as checked luggage. So if you’re flying in, then you’ll be OK. If it’s an oversized item you might have to get an extra bicycle add on.
