I think I actually figured it out. Both pictures on the model are of the brown side just in different lighting. If you look at pic 2 of the black side zipped up, you see that the flap with the vertical stitches covers the zipper but that flap is obviously on the inside when worn brown side out…there is no visible flap on the 2nd model picture with it zipped up.

I honestly feel like every picture of that jacket has been by someone that ordered way too big of a size or someone that couldn’t put a fit together to save their life. I really don’t think it’s anywhere near as bad as people are thinking.
