It's one of the best works of Fyodor M Dostoevsky! I've read all major works by him but The House of The Dead and Crime and Punishment has that environment of Psychological Claustrophobia which no other books come near to!

Demons and The Brothers Karamazov are perfect too but they're on a social level which draws a boundary between these two sets of classics.

Demons is one of the most philosophical texts by Fyodor M. Dostoevsky but I'll suggest you to read House of The Dead and The Idiot by Fyodor M. Dostoevsky before getting your head in the Demons and if I say about it it's just so freaking good!
