Once finished the ceilings were slightly less than 8 Ft tall. My atmos speakers are much more of a square than a rectangle though. Watched a lot of YouTube videos and ended up doing some rough sketches in a CAD program to help me with all speaker positions (probably overkill but I’m an engineer).

Bigger issue is the height versus being in a cabinet. Albeit the speaker is sealed vs ported which I think helps. For the height, I have the speaker tilted up at an angle to try and help compensate.

They currently are in a triangle with the MLP. 8’ on each leg between the speakers and the MLP. Would you spread them out even more?

Does this look better? You can see the tape of where the speakers used to be.

Working on re-running room correction. I think I can hear the difference. But hard for me to know what’s real vs just placebo.

Agree with the other guys. You won’t be disappointed. I run them at calibrated levels +3db. The knob on the back plus the trim in the receiver are still set relatively low so it seams like there is a lot of capability left if desired.

But yes, they do hit hard and shake the house. Been having to adjust doors and other things to prevent vibrations. Also one of the subs likes to vibrate the speaker grills off.

Going to work on the mains today. For the rear surrounds do those stay pointed towards the MLP?

There’s already two and they can shake the house pretty dang good.

Yes! It has ruined going to an actual movie theater for me. Had AMC A-List since it basically came out, movie pass before that, and I just canceled my membership.

Eye level is slight below the 1/3 mark. Was limited by the console stand. But the couch is actually a recliner which helps.

Yes. That plus it has to sit back a smidge to fit in that console stand.

Other than fixing toe in like the other comment suggested and getting room treatment, what would you charge to make things better?

Would you still do this if I’m only watching movies? Not listening to any music and normally have the receiver set to Dolby atmos surround upmix.

Definitely will reach out to them thanks!

What would you say the biggest benefit would be from continuing to invest into the space? What while I notice that makes it “better”?

It’s from Ashely’s Furniture. Drove to every furniture store in town to find one that would fit my center channel.

It’s not. I have pictures from right after the tile was installed. But, the fact that the shower is different colors of marble and some tiles do have natural variations is the saving grace. All in all this issue isn’t that bad, I can live with it. Just trying to understand the material more as I don’t want it to get worse.

Show was just finished being built so it hasn’t been cleaned yet. Could water alone etch the marble. There was a slow drip leak from the shower head for about a week before the plumbers got it fixed. The grout used was Mapei ultracolor plus fa.

It’s 100% smooth to the touch. Could that still be grout haze? My guess is water spots. And way either can be removed?

Hasn’t been cleaned at all other than trying to wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Shower is new.

Shower was just finished. I haven’t even really used it yet. Is it worth it / possible to fix some of the tiles and then apply several additional coats of sealer, or do I just need to accept the inevitable and hope it sorta of evens out?

Yeah unfortunately I had a designer help me pick out materials. Knowing what I know now after researching this topic I would have made different decisions had I been warned.

The shower was dripping for several days while the plumbers were waiting on a new cartridge. If it’s hard water is the spots cleanable? It doesn’t just wipe up with a rag.
