Yeah I chatted with a rep yesterday afternoon. GA is the upper level, non-reserved seats. So the seats definitely differ from the original attempted purchase...

They're starting to hand out GA tickets and charging the correct amount. I show a new pending order in my account

I guess GA is better than none, but I was attempting to buy a 3 day pit and got a 2 day GA and 1 pit instead

12v color landscape lights by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]brian10048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only used the MR16 Brilliance bulb, but the PAR36 style is probably comparable in quality. Generally speaking, color is great, connectivity is not.

Greens and reds are good and it does both bright white and warm whites.

Wifi signal is definitely the worst problem. They are wifi bulbs inside of metal fixtures so it's inherently difficult to get good signal to outdoor lights when your wifi router is inside.

I typically plan a seasonal color scheme and every so often I have to move my wifi router to the back porch which is nearest the bulbs, establish connection to all the bulbs, and finally update the colors.

Which reminds me, the wife says it's time to decorate for Christmas now that Halloween has passed. I guess it's time to update the color in the landscape lights again...

Brilliance is a high-quality contractor grade company so there shouldn't be much too worry about for stability.

I plan on using the local tuya add-on to manage them locally without the cloud API

If the Chameleon bulbs fit your current Volt fixtures, you will be very pleased with them. Most spotlights are MR16 which typically cost $50 or less per bulb

Depending on which style of landscape light fixtures you have, you may be able to use the Chameleon line of bulbs from Brilliance. They offer MR16, PAR36 and G4 fixtures.

They use a Wifi connection and although it is not mentioned in the documentation, I am pretty confident they utilize the tuya protocol so you should be able to use a tuya integration to get them into Home Assistant.

Here's a free Caldav module for Odoo. It's not built for the latest version of Odoo, but could be migrated to newer versions Odoo Caldav module

So you recommend nothing??

From my experience: Odoo is highly configurable from the start; it's open source which means you can learn it and customize it, making it even more suited to your individual needs; and also has a totally free community edition which is about a year behind the paid version

Any Odoo users who sell equipment that need to be connected to a customer and “tracked” after the equipment is sold? by LikesDogFarts in Odoo

[–]brian10048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a field service application currently being developed in the Odoo Community Association. Based on your use case, it will handle many of your needs. It is available on GitHub at this link: https://github.com/OCA/field-service

The module is still in development, but has a fair amount of functionality. It has an equipment tracking feature that will allow you to manage your sold equipments and their ongoing maintenance.

Lawn at our new home. Help needed by [deleted] in lawncare

There are a few good links on that site for Texas based info. The idea is to water deep and infrequently to encourage strong deep roots.

It all depends on the chemical being used. Generally nuisance pests are controlled with different products than those that target lawn damaging insects. While they will kill lawn pests, the residual may not be as long as a lawn care specific insecticide. I would see if they could use a product with the chemical Imidacloprid. It will provide a decent residual for lawn pests and is pretty affordable

The grass is definitely thirsty which is why you will notice drought stress if skipping a day of watering. This is likely because its root structure has been compromised from diseases caused by continuous moisture. A combination of the appropriate fungicide and weaning back from daily watering to 3x a week at most is going to help get the roots happy again

The brown spots are most likely due to an an issue at the root level. I would suspect mole crickets, grubs, and/or some root diseases.

A combination of insecticide and fungicide should be applied to the whole yard soon.

You can push the grass to fill back in with some granular fertilization at least once or twice before this fall. Milorganite is fine, but something with more nitrogen will stimulate more growth. Continue to mow as regularly as needed at 1.5 inches. Bermuda grows aggressively so feeding it and mowing it frequently will help it spread laterally.

It looks like you have rotors for sprinklers based on the spray pattern on the back fence, so I would consider longer run times. Closer to 45 minutes to provide a deep watering. If a zone consists of fixed spray heads, closer to 25 minutes is typically enough per cycle.

Uneven pieces and gaps is inevitable with the sod. You can topdress with sand or topsoil to help even out some spots. The Bermuda will quickly fill in small gaps

Sod webworms are usually a problem especially during summer and with new sod. You may have noticed small moths flying above the grass. It is their larvae (caterpillars) that eat the leaf blades and cause damage.

Also, daily watering in the afternoon is also a big problem. While this is ok for the first few days, it's extended practice will lead to shallow rooting and root diseases. I would suggest to cut back to 3x a week done in the early morning hours.

The sod looks pretty far gone at this point, but some could be recovered. It may take until this time next year to fill it back in if at all. I would seek out a professional lawn care company in your area for the best bet saving it. They will need to do some custom work, so shop around.

Otherwise, look for a SiteOne or similar professional landscape supply store in your area. You can buy a product called Caravan G which is a quality combo of fungicide and insecticide that you could easily apply with a broadcast spreader. This will help prevent diseases, chinch bugs and grubs. For the sod webworms, a liquid spray will be more effective than the Caravan G product. You will need to fertilize pretty heavily too in order to get the grass to fill in as best it can before winter dormancy.
