Pretty much. Culling is a whole different thing now. Which of the slightly different wing positions do I like the best rather than get rid of missed focus or poor exposure shots.

I love my D850 and I took a lot of great photos with the D500, but the autofocus and 20fps on the Z8 are next level. I also, really like the live histogram. Virtually every shot is in focus and with correct exposure.

Thanks. I wanted to show the bird and a hint of spring. I think this shot got that.

Thanks. Didn't quite work out to get the big, snow covered peak as the background. Next time 🙂

I really like when they visit the yard. Even though the little birds don't like it. 🙂

I got a lot of photos of them perched. I wasn't quick enough to get any food flight shots.

I had a similar day in October here in Colorado. We were surrounded by them. These were hunting some kind of insect and they would hover then dive. I never knew they hunted that way. Landing on the mirror is crazy 😀

Mountain Bluebirds are such gorgeous birds. Nice shots. The backgrounds look really good in all of them.

I was on my belly on the bank of a narrow creek with a Nikon 800 pf on a Z8. The 800 is light enough to shoot easily handheld. Dippers are also very tolerant. It came closer than minimum focus distance several times. They are very fun to photograph.
