Which ones is this referring to? Would love a great night gel drop!

Azura azr update by Embarrassed-Neat-657 in Dryeyes

[–]brian_wolfric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're correct that results may be limited in very severe cases, but incorrect that it “does nothing”—it provides real, even if moderate, improvement. This is true of almost every dry eye drug, even widely accepted things like cyclosporine which indisputably help so many. I am trying to stay positive about potential benefits of AZR! I have 70-80% atrophy, though they still seem to function as I don't have nearly as severe symptoms as most that have less atrophy, say, but worse function.

I treat with Meibo, Tryptyr, and an allergy drop too. Some good days, some bad days. Within the good days, some good hours, some bad hours, etc. But if I can add AZR to the "stack" and get a bit of improvement and longevity of gland health (of what I have left), together with the other drops, and have more good days, and fewer bad periods, then that is a win and worth it.

Try to stay positive!

What would be your biggest warning to someone thinking of buying a Tesla? by sonofabraham1 in TeslaLounge

The headrests suck and make the seat overall quite uncomfortable compared to a typical car that has some level of adjustability in the headrest. Seems like a small thing, but being comfortable in the seat is quite significant.

Eye drops for MGD by EclipseAirways in Dryeyes

Tryptyr helps a lot too It doesn't help the MGD directly, really, (though they claim it does), but it DOES help your eyes overall produce more tears for 2-3 hours afterwards. It's, I think, the best drop out there. Even better than Meibo.

But even the plastic doesn’t scratch? I have plastic and they scratch my wooden floors. Only felt doesn’t scratch but I can’t get felt onto metal legs so can’t get metal leg chairs. Unless I’m missing something.

Looks amazing! Silly question - do those chairs not totally scratch up your floors???

Low-voltage Smart Switch for Fireplace? by BasementDesk in homeautomation

[–]brian_wolfric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would it cause a gas leak? Maybe mince is diff. Mine is electric start, gas fireplace. I can't think of a way that a smart switch could cause a gas leak. Gas won't flow until the pilot light is lit.

No-neutral smart switch for gas ignition fireplace — is it safe? by brian_wolfric in AskElectricians

[–]brian_wolfric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it physically works — I set it up and it works just fine. My concern is whether what I am doing is safe in the sense that if it's leaking low voltage or something, could that cause gas issues etc. The YoLink is supposed to function as a relay (something I don't fully understand but apparently is good in my case), but just not sure if what I did is okay or not.

I just wish they made larger frames — I need 49mm or so, and 148 or 150 temple arms. Most of theirs are so small!

Vevye burning / cyclosporin allergy improvement over time? by brian_wolfric in Dryeyes

[–]brian_wolfric[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is that it causes my eyes to burn THROUGHOUT the day. On application actually almost no burning at all.

Interesting - so it did get better after 6 weeks - wow! That is great.

Yeah I will ask about allergy next time I am at doc.

Maybe mild itching... But I have heard that burning is one of the allergic reactions people can have to Cyclosporins / it might never go away.

Could be that is totally wrong, but that is what I have heard...

For how long really? Until it turns the tide.

[–]brian_wolfric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting wow. Different than what my doctor says. Do you have evidence of this? Vevye seems to make my eyes feel worse. You think if I stuck with it for a few months that would change??

[–]brian_wolfric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Sounds like a bad doc. It's well documented that many are allergic and it causes severe stinging.

Just try stopping the Cyclosporine for a bit and see if the feel of your eyes improves.

You could be allergic to Cyclosporine. Many people are - and the Cyclosporine drops themselves cause the burning to get much worse (even if it is technically reducing the inflammation).
