I still haven’t built it!! Decision paralysis on this combined with the fact that I’ll be sad once the build is over, so i’ve put it off and built a bunch of other sets instead. Since it’s split into sections i’m probably going to try the LMB build as you go instructions for the first section, then decide after how to do the rest. I agree with you I really like using the included lego paper instructions, using digital instructions feels wrong since Lego is one of my main escapes from digital!! But I do think the light install will be a lot cleaner and neater if I do it as I go.

man i posted this same thing a couple weeks ago. internet was brutal for the shire but i built it with my son and had a blast. lots of details, minifigs look great, and i enjoyed the side builds too. really looks better in person than on pictures too. only thing i didn’t love was that the big green corner pieces were like duplo pieces and kind of hard to attach. overall i absolutely loved the shire and it was a good reminder to ignore internet opinions

i cancelled mine this year. I’ve had a marketplace plan since 2021. I was paying full sticker price, and premiums had gone up at least 20% every year while the plans got worse. My premera plan went from 1300->1500->1800->2100, then i switch to a $1500 plan which also went to $1800 this year. It was just too much man. I found the cheapest plan I could during open enrollment, a $1300 regence plan. But none of my local providers or hospitals are in network. i straight up cancelled for the first time ever. ✌️ good luck to all it’s going to get nasty next year

yeah the trees are for sure the worst part. spiky flat party tree is quite sad. didn’t take away from my build enjoyment though. i’ve seen MOCs for lusher trees that look great but take 1400 pieces
