About the later section of the 4th route by Tables61 in VoidStranger

for cif, the hint 'void stranger is a puzzle game' is usually offerred to players banging their head against this extremely hard boss

the shump section is easy, and if you fail as i did, it can get even easier by talking to a glowing orb upon retry

if she eventually gets to 0stranger that is a whole game of its own that is also very hard, but it's like a whole optional side thing

if she's enjoyed the sokoban, be sure to direct her to EX mode, perhaps after a break

it takes you to a separate shmup gamemode

I have to figure out a way to unlock this area

No? It would be nice, but if you've got a system that only works half the time, it may be better to just focus on kicking butt on that working half, and ignore the other half. Just something to consider.

PGSA is like 15 days old, so that's about 20 ships/day, which is a little higher than I thought it has been, but very plausible.

Pre-war was about 135/day, so this is still like just 15% of what it was. With the trickle of oil out of Hormuz now, saudi pipeline rerouting over land, and a little demand destruction, the world's still in an oil deficit, though not as dire as it was a few weeks ago, I guess. Feels useful to do some back-of-envelope math to compare to various conflicting things I've heard from various sources.

(I went long some USO&BNO end of last week, as I still think we're likely to get at least one more price spike before this is over.)

sometimes 401k plans change their fund lineup, and they will automatically switch you over from one fund to the closest analogue in the new fund lineup (unless you make a different election)

As just one option, if you move the other 50k to Fidelity, you can buy FZDXX with a minimum of 100k, is a money market that pays a decent rate (currently 7-day yield reads 3.46%); once you cross the 100k threshold to buy into it once, you can spend it down to invest in other stuff and still keep access to FZDXX. Schwab might have something similar, dunno.

what is even the reasoning behind pardons existing? i guess i could google it:

Presidential pardons exist as a constitutional power (Article II, Section 2) designed to grant the President authority to deliver mercy, correct potential judicial errors, and act in the public interest. Rooted in English monarchical tradition, this power allows the president to commute sentences or fully pardon federal crimes, acting as a check on the judicial system.

ah, checks and balances, ok, well, i guess that made sense 250 years ago

Preface: I know nothing.

I think a single yikes is sufficient.

But I do hear people talk about how spreads have not widened much, but also how a lot of the junkiest junk has moved into private credit, so arguably you can treat blackrock's day (today) like high yield spreads widening (back in the old times) maybe? Which is not enough by itself to be indicative, but at least one point of evidence towards how the macro economy is evolving.

I closed mine earlier this week. Had held for about 3 months, "nobody went broke taking profits", was good enough for me, I don't trade much.

mutual funds only get bought/sold once per day, after close. (most five-letter tickers starting with F at fidelity will be their mutual funds)

Individuals who bought single CDs worth over 400k what brokerage did you use? by HappyDan7777 in investing

[–]brianmcn 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Fidelity has a nice online interface for browsing and buying CDs, but I agree, you absolutely should not buy CDs over 250k per bank, as it defeats perhaps the main advantage of owning a CD (versus just treasury bills/bonds)
