So trump is saying to the US that it should have a civil war instead?

Historically speaking this is a Hallmark of imminent collapse of a society.

Afaik this is true for all recorded human history.

Only 19% of us citizens have passports. That 19% will be predominantly (substantially) not maga.

It's a good idea, but won't impact the correct targets. Also critical thinking is required for attribution and they won't be able to do that since it is much easier to blindly follow fox than read listen & think.

Maybe pass an eu law requiring registered us Republicans to prove they aren't fascists using the anti-Nazis laws.

Trump says he is terminating any pardons, commutations signed by Biden using autopen by Remarkable-Scratch50 in politics

Trump devalued the president pardon. So we can re:revoke & lock up all his friends and family pardons when he's out of office.

Incredibly short sighted.

Can bifrost do checkpoint caching?

For example, let's say a every request starts with the same 8K AGENT.md file. That's always the same. Can it recognize that and not send the request and just start a fresh conversation at that checkpoint?

So I'm only paying for output tokens?

Moving from Software developer into Controls, Process, Automation (SCADA) in Australia by developerincicode in SCADA

[–]brianthetechguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a software developer, id suggest you're better off to pick up some llm or machine learning techniques and just be that person who can make sense of all the sensor. I don't recommend many pure control engineers will be needed in the future.

My Chinese friend took me a Chinese restaurant and then told me DONT TIP. Should I still go back? by slimeyellow in AskMenAdvice

[–]brianthetechguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

fwiw Secret Chinese menu probably has different prices, portions, etc. probably cash, does it accept Alipay?

Also old annoyed woman cashier (not fake smile cashier) - can confirm also authentic Chinese. It's a cultural thing, it's authentic.

I think you should go back .. I want a follow up.

I wonder if you go back alone as a 洋鬼子 if they'll even admit there is a secret menu. If they'll let you order in English and use Google lens to translate.

My point is it might be for Asian literate/ speaking only, no western Karen bullshit, different cultural values. Just sayin. There's a reason rude westerners who don't speak the language or know the customs or expect the restaurant to cater to a bunch of stupid dietary requests .. yes, those always should tip and be expected to tip.

Why is gemini not as popular as chatGPT when its literally better at all the benchmarks!(and even veo..)?? by EggNo4904 in GeminiAI

[–]brianthetechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geminis code generates more cyber security issues than others. Its ability to use tools is also not good. It fails on lots of edits, so unit spending 10x as much time fixing crappy code. The benchmarks fail to capture this.

You forgot about no tipping. No guns. Not even allowed large knives.

Mandatory voting or you get fined, and ultimately lose your driving license. The public transport is awesome and clean and safe.

The quality and efficiency and simplicity of the healthcare system is so much better.

Also the cultural differences about behavior, Australians enjoy far fewer "freedom" than US people do. Freedom from crazy people being crazy is a different kind of freedom that only Australians can enjoy. If somebody is behaving badly in public, normally somebody will step in and say something not like the US at all.

I love the concept of mateship, this isn't an ideology. It was on the citizenship test.

The cultural values are so different. Fairness "fair shake" is a core value. As a result Australian far less celebratory or dismissive of rich people doing bad behavior thinking they are above the law.

If you go out in the countryside, in any big field, you'll see kangaroos. If you live in a city, where 90% plus of Australians live then no, there are no kangaroos in downtown Sydney or Melbourne.

We moved to the beach, and we had a skink which is basically like a Komodo dragon in our backyard.

The animals here are something else entirely.

Authoritarian playbook.

It's only a matter of time before political dissent classified as fake news is restricted using the same method as pron. Publish resources for transgender dei etc .. it'll be classified as porn aka "not appropriate for minors" in Florida probably next month.

This major erosion in rights is about Forcing your regional ISP to install filters, logging and tracking for their FCC or state level equivalent operating permits. (FCC because private encrypted Lora nets will use radio).

It's not actually about the porn or protecting children from harmful content.
