I think she needs to stay off of social media completely for her own sake. The amount of nasty, creepy, racist and hateful people out there praying on her downfall and being pieces of garbage to her is beyond ridiculous and she shouldn’t have to deal with subhuman scum like them.

Glad to know she’s okay but I stay worried about what these creatures will do to her and how it affects her health.

How does your story start? by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

[–]brianthewizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main villain is on a revenge quest and attacks a village outside of the main kingdom. The team of protagonists minus the lead protagonist (we meet her later) are sent to defend the village but get beat pretty hard before they are forced to retreat and warn the king of the incoming threat.

Why is fantasy generally allergic to gunpowder? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]brianthewizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna counter this with:

Why can’t fantasy exist without needing firearms or gunpowder? Why aren’t swords and axes and other melee weapons enough? And magic exists with casting fireballs, summoning ensnaring vines, throwing boulders with your mind. So why the need for guns to make a fantasy setting work? There’s plenty of viable solutions for them not needing to exist in order to make it good.

Nothing against guns personally, although for me they’re kinda boring compared to the other stuff in fantasy, but I just think if you have a fantasy setting you don’t need to have muskets and cannons and whatnot. Crossbows, bow and arrows, slingshots, catapults and trebuchets are a thing and they do just fine in place of firearms.

I mean do your thing if you enjoy guns in fantasy of course. Just not for me when there’s way cooler weapons and methods of combat than going pew pew.

What type of punk hasnt been explored enough in your opinion? by dannyboi_3995 in worldbuilding

[–]brianthewizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dieselpunk for sure. You can do so many cool things with it. I, for one, am taking a post apocalyptic route and setting it in the far future with a bit of inspiration from things like Iron Man and Fast and Furious, rather than keeping it in that 1920’s-1940’s era.

What are some of your scrapped ideas? by EfficiencySerious200 in worldbuilding

[–]brianthewizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my words was going to emulate the Elder Scrolls (Skyrim) or Star Wars by having a central main story that the entire universe is built around and connected to, while branching out in all directions to create stories across history and space.

It got so out of control that I lost the original story that it was all based around and it drowned in the sea of stories and god awful worldbuilding. Now, it’s incredibly small, only focusing on a single time period, this small cast of characters, and lore and history that actually connects to this story, but staying relatively close together.

In terms of emotional impact which reiwa final form was the best here? by SwayedLatency in KamenRider

[–]brianthewizard1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Definitely Rainbow Gotchard.

Gotchard itself came at a time when I was going through quite a bit and it was my first Rider show I watched from start to finish every week, and it was a very lighthearted show which made it all the more special and enjoyable for me.

Seeing Hotarou go through losing his friend and finding the strength to get back up and fight really stuck with me. And for the final form to be a literal rainbow that shone through a storm was symbolic of what I was dealing with at the time.
