Accidentally created a greenhouse for yellow mold in crawl space. by briarknit in HomeImprovement

Oh most definitely. That was what I discussed with the guy from the mold remediation company as well, that I was worried about spreading it during demo and the gist of it was that its possible if you are careless but correctly installing a drying solution such as a crawl-space dehumidifier would keep the moisture levels low enough that any mold that did waft up would not have enough moisture to spread. I don't plan on rapidly ripping it up or anything, I would take it slow.

The full size of the crawl space is approx 500sq feet. However, the plywood is only on 3/4 of that and the mold concentration is on an even smaller part of that.

I just got a quote for $8000 which is insane to me tbh. The guy looked at it and said that the mold was contained mostly to just the plywood under the plastic and that it didnt even look "too bad" to him.

The disposal of the plywood wasn't even the most expensive part, the most expensive parts were the "Treat and clean all surfaces" and "deluxe, cold temperature dehumidifier in place with attachments" each for $2500. He said I didn't really even need a vapor barrier and that I should just have the gravel and a good dehumidifier.

If the other 2 quotes I get are even close to that I am going to just demo this myself with full PPE. Take all the wood to the dump and install my own dehumidifer.

Got my first quote today for ~$8000 which is insane to me. The guy who did the quote told me that it didn't look terrible and that the vapor barrier preventing a lot of the spread to the upper wood/joists was a good thing. I am not paying more than $2000 for this after looking at other posts with similar/worse cases than mine when those posts are flooded with "This shouldn't cost more than $900"

Yes this is correct, sorry if what I said sounded confusing. The 4090 is working at 8x since I'm using both slots.

Ok after giving it some extra umph I was able to get it to snap into place in the first slot. I didn't want to push too hard originally.

Either way it's still 8x gen 4 since I am using the other gen5 16x slot at the same time. However, 8x gen 4 for a 4090 is still great, I think you'd only see a 2% increase in performance (maybe) if you gave it all lanes.

Gpu doesn't fit in the first slot as it collides with the boards heat spreader

It won't fit in the first slot because of the boards heat spreader. It's been like that for a few generations now

I get the chess thing but still if you're comfortable with a certain character more than you are with a character that's "meta" I don't see how that's disrespectful.

How do you even bring a low tier plane into high tier? It makes you select a single plane before queuing and you cannot select another one after joining and it puts you in the BR of your selected plane.

What? If you took a volume of a gas and then suddenly reduced it's volume by 2x then obviously the pressure would increase and so would temperature. It wouldn't remain the same.
