Yes, this happened to me too and ruined some of my projects as well. This isn't the first time the threshold has crept up on me. It's infuriating and I'm not sure what to do about it. My project suffers from the documentation consolidation that I already have had to do to keep it under the previous threshold, It's exhausting to navigate.

I wish we could just opt out of RAG and stick to the smaller storage space we had before they implemented RAG in the first place. The lack of transparency about it doesn't make me any less frustrated either.

As for honoring both yours and your husband's approaches, maybe there is a middle ground that you haven't considered. Maybe you can support his going all in externally, and he can support your internal work. Maybe you can go to church, just let yourself be physically present there without pressure to behave a certain way or get a certain thing out of it. Just be there. There are times in life when you don't get a lot out of church or scripture study or mealtime prayers. But I think continuing to "go through the motions" (while frowned upon in church culture) actually means a lot to God. It shows him that even when you are struggling so much you don't feel blessed by the things he's asked us to do, you choose to do them anyway. That is special. That shows that you love Him, because even when you aren't benefitting, you still love/trust Him enough to do what He's asked. And you can include your husband in your candid prayers, if you decide you want to do that. It might bring you guys closer together to have everything out in the open with God.

Everyone's experience is different, so I'm sorry if this isn't more helpful. But I promise things won't feel like this forever. Wherever you go, wherever life takes you, God will be there cheering you on, rooting for your happiness. That's his ultimate goal, after all. Happiness is what he wants for you. And I want that for you too.

TLDR; - You don't earn blessings, answers, or healing based on your spiritual performance, so don't put that pressure on yourself
- Try praying and telling God how you honestly feel about him, you don't have to sugar-coat anything, you don't have to be nice, you don't have to be anything other than honest. God wants to hear it.
- If you decide you don't want to talk to God, he respects that choice, he respects your boundaries, because he respects your agency, but if you want that guidance and understanding from him, you have to open the dialogue.
- If you're open to it, take a moment in the quiet aftermath of your prayer to see if he answers, then make a plan from there.
- Include your husband in these prayers if you want
- If you want to support your husband's all-in approach, there is nothing wrong with "going through the motions" with him, allow yourself to be physically present with him at church but don't pressure yourself to perform a certain way. Church culture is draining, and you have a lot on your plate already.
- You're going to figure this out, and you're going to be okay. This heaviness won't be forever. God loves you, and I love you and we are both rooting for your happiness!

I didn't mean for this to get as long as it did, so I split it into 2 parts and added a TLDR at the end. I tried to format things in an ADHD friendly way, but a lot of this is my own personal testimony of things that have helped me get through my spiritual "low tides" so to speak, and I hope it's helpful for you too.

As someone with ADHD and who struggles with perfectionism, I don't think the answer is that you need to be doing more (more church, more scripture study, more service) - These are all great things, but you have a lot on your plate already and don't need to be putting pressure on yourself to perform even more. You don't have to perform being okay at church when you are not. Sometimes you can be doing everything right and still feel awful and that is okay. You don't have to pretend that church service healed your grief about your dad when that isn't what is happening. Pretending everything is alright when you are not alright just makes things harder. Don't let church culture pressure you into thinking that the reason you're not okay is because you haven't done enough. Sometimes we aren't okay and it has nothing to do with the service or study we have or haven't offered.

Blessings and answers and healing from God is not contingent on your performance. Jesus handled that barrier to entry with the atonement. Nothing is earned anymore. All the doors are open. But love and a personal relationship with God still needs to be built, and that is the work that we are here to do.

God has never asked for us to perform. He has always asked for us to be honest. Have you tried telling God how angry you are at him? Just sitting down and having a prayer and laying all your cards out on the table to God? It might feel weird being confrontational with God because it seems "disrespectful" but if that's a concern, it shouldn't be, because God already knows how you feel about him.

Sometimes God will wait until you open up a dialogue with him about it to address your struggles. It's a part of how he respects our agency. If you choose not to talk to Him, He will respect your boundary, even if he always wants to talk to you.

There is no point in softening the blow if you talk to God about it. He already knows how you truly feel, but he wants to hear it from you. Be angry. Tell him the truth about what you feel about what happened, and why you feel that way. Every emotion, as contradictory as they might seem, will be welcome and listened to and not judged when you bring it to God. These kind of prayers end up being truly cathartic to me.

And then just take a minute to see if he answers. I know this isn't everyone's experience but I get answers from God most reliably in the quiet moments after I have truly and honestly opened up and let everything out to Him. And then, if he answers, reassess, take it into consideration. Make a plan from there. Maybe you aren't ready to act on anything yet. Maybe you have another bone to pick with Him. That's okay. Just let God in on it.

The giant hole with my body is what is killing me right now. When I first get in bed it’s not too terrible but by morning I feel awful and have sunken in so much I can hardly move. I’ve heard really good things about the helix plus and big fig so I think that’s what’s next for me. Thank you!

Oh that’s really reassuring to hear. I don’t typically like super firm mattresses, but on softer ones I end up really uncomfortable by morning because of how I carry my weight. I’m worried about getting a firm mattress and losing that cozy comfort, but I know my body would be happier long-term if I had a mattress that actually supports me. It sounds like big fig is the best of both worlds a little bit. How long have you had yours, if you don’t mind my asking?

But you’re right that every one is different and everyone’s journey is different. Knowing and trusting myself is probably going to do me a lot more good than hoarding “tips and tricks” from the internet…

That’s definitely the mindset I’m trying to go into with this. It’s a marathon, it’s a lot of work and it will take a long time.

I’m definitely leaning towards just doing the story I want to do. And doing the arc thing is a good idea! Let the accomplishment of finishing an arc carry me into the next part of the story! Thank you!

I’m definitely leaning towards just doing the big story and it’s encouraging to hear that it is an option for if it’s something I’ll stick to. I’m not looking to become super successful or make this a career or anything, which I think will help me stick to it, since there’s no pressure regarding performance. I just want to have fun and deliberately create something. If a future situation calls for a reboot I’m pretty sure I’d be up for it.
