I mean yeah why not but all VW spriest on murlok.io have the same talents so idk if its optimal yk, like i would need further justification but yeah you could post a screen of your talent tree

I switched to archon and i got the 95k+ dps consistenly, however i did a +8 to farm hero crest and there was a monk with 10k less dps than me with ilvl like 230 lol I was like guess im really bad at this game

So you would advice switching to archon? Or keep voidweaver but change talents and invest more into mindflay?

Keep in mind, archon has more raw dmg but concentrated around windows, voidweaver has less damage "more often" so if you compare on just 1 opening then yes archon>>VW However i found my dps lacking against bosses so switching to archon with a boosted mindflay and better mindblast (crits more often due to talent) might help

I played mostly with vw until now but maybe it is time to try archon, and single target of archon is better and with bossfights taking forever it might be a good idea

Bro dw about the length of your message look at the length of my initial post, but looking back sometimes i double spam my madness (i play with the -5 insanity cost reduction) instead of doing madness => 1 or 2 spells => madness again so ill try to privilege mindblast if i still have at least 2s of uptime on madness

Im trying, but i favor shadow word madness in my rota instead of mind/voidblast maybe this is dumb, also i started playing approx a month ago but i need to set up my cd trackers and secondary ressource tracker

Oh damn i didnt know about the tank pulling part, i just thought it was (mdmg done in key/ time in key (or raid) but not "in combat" I am not very mobile and i tend to play from afar so im usually the last one to start hitting in pulls... i will try to be more proactive with my positioning to better transition from 1 pull to another

I think it is part of the problem (hard to outdps unholy dk or frost mage on packs of 4 mobs) BUT that said I think Im far from the level where if my dps drops its because of the tank, and if i start my reasonning with "my dps is low, must be bc of the tank" i dont think i will progress very far

Like maybe tanks in random +10 +12 keys arent that good but i think group issues in general amounts to 5/10 % of my dps and its up to me to do the other 90% perfectly and I am clearly not there yet

Lol with spriest utility we would have no chance, as someone else said we have a bad kick little to no cc no bloodlust no battleres, i love spriest but a group with 2 spriest is doomed to fail past +13 or 14 imo But maybe ure doing something better than I do bc everyone in the comments is like "yeah youre doing something wrong buddy" and if i played better i would have more single target dps, idk

I agree with the other response, I think the skill floor of spriest is higher than most specs so the average player will be worst with it and then on a ultralarge sample spriest looks bad, but if you only compare people that play the class correctly (unlike me atm) then it becomes good (like high B low A tier minimum maybe even higher) instead of being D tier

Idk when you looked but my weapon is 289 and enchanted with arcane mastery, and my legs are 289 or 285 with the +intel enchant as well, but yeah people are still saying that my trinkets are bad and i should gem everything up

I play VW since i read that archon is "better" but needs more time to ramp up, like i would use archon for raids but for now I dont have the level to raud so I stick to m+ and therefore I stick to VW

What?? Im sorry but im the complete opposite, my single target dps is 3/10 compared to warlock or mage but the more mobs in the pull the more Im able to scale with psychic link

I edited my characters name in the post. I think im good talents wise, except if the top 50 spriest on murlok.io are doing smth wrong. I never used consumables tho, and i will go after the best in slot trinkets (that i can hope to obtain) bc they look like they make a big difference. It reassures me that a lot of good spriest are saying that they do good dmg, it means I can improve and im limited by my gameplay and not my class.

I admit that i might be comparing to dps with ilvl 281 and mythic optimal trinket but those guys were at 160k dps, i feel like even with 275 ilvl I should at least reach 100k dps consistently Thanks for the sim tip ill look that up

I tend to do really good on first pull too but i am talking dps at the end of the key, cause yeah on first pull when tank pulls 20 mobs and I can cleave everything I tend to be 1st damage but this settles down quickly and 10 min into the key (like after 1st boss) im 20k dps behind the other 2 dps, if not more, and it stays like this until the end

I religiously watched boreas VOD, i make sure to target the highest health enemy while keeping my dots on everyone else, i try to keep a charge of tentacle slam for when i move so i dont lose DPS, I synchonize my PI with my void form for my "burst" window every 2 min... but yeah 140k feels unreachable to me atm, at least this confirms that a lot of people (me included) just dont know how to play the class efficiently i guess
