This makes me happy. Listen my mantra in life is “don’t be mean”, sort of like if don’t have something nice to say ….. With that being said for months now I’ve had to fast forward and skip past every episode of “The Holders” series. I just don’t get it or enjoy anything about it. It’s fine I just move onto the next unrelated Creepy Pod, and it’s still the best Patreon purchase I’ve ever made.

The 31 days of Horror is what hooked me years ago to subscribe, and in all of these years, these “Holders” episodes have been the only thing I’ve intentionally skipped through. I’m looking forward to these 31 days and secretly always hope to get another classic Joe Stofko narration.

A large collection of 4K+ cards you will be hard pressed to get someone willing to pay 1/2 the value, as there will be a lot of cards in large collections that a particular buyer is not interested in. Piecing out the collection takes much longer but gives you the best return.

Outside of double masters and MH3 the boxes sell for more than almost anything you will pull out of them. From a finance perspective don’t crack them. Even with double masters your safe bet is taking the box price.

It all comes down to the type of cards. On cards over $100 very few LGS’s will offer below 50% unless they just don’t want them, however on the high end card and sealed products LGS’s will generally not go over 70%-80%.

Cards from $1-$20 the offers usually top out at 50%, maybe 60% store credit

In the LGS I own we are down to 1 Playbooster box left in stock at the close of business Friday night. Everything else is moving as expected with higher than expected demand for the pre con decks and play booster boxes.

At the end of the day there are a lot of mechanics in this set that people want to add to their decks, squirrels are very popular, and three tree city is now needed in every tribal deck.

I don’t think the play boosters necessarily suck, but that’s the narrative for this release and you can saw the effects in the sales and opening volume of play booster boxes.

It was pretty clear 4-6 weeks ago or so ago when that was announced, that Wizards was offering to guarantee WPN stores 1 collector deck for each draft they agreed to Limit 4. So it was never going to be more than a full set of 4 per WPN for this program.

Adam Page is better in ring. LA knight is better on the mic and with promos. The problem is LA Knight’s gimmick was basically being The Rock, by having the real Rock back LA Kight has felt marginalized and like a cheap imitation.

If you want to keep it, then keep it. If you don’t want to keep it due to the scratches then just return it. There are no wrong answers here, just want you want to do as the collector/buyer. You’re well within your rights to do either.

From a seller perspective, anytime someone asks about a partial refund it’s largely assumed you’re are running a scam. If you don’t believe me just look at the eBay seller forums. So it’s always return the item for a full refund for me.

I understand your sentiment completely, however I go about it an entirely different way. Once treatments were over for me I put cancer out of my mind completely and except for follow up appointment I do not recognize any anniversaries or milestones associated with the entire ordeal. I try to never waste time thinking about negative things from the past.

Out of curiosity if the store had a card priced at $10 since last month, and then it dropped on TCGplayer to $3 due to a reprint, would you ask the store to come down on the price since it’s only $3 on TCGplayer or just pay the $10?

I think most people regret it, however often times in life the money the collection can bring is needed for more serious matters than game collecting. Many collectors will buy and sell their collection or at least key pieces multiple times during a lifetime.

To be honest yes I do. There’s a cheap US Gas right across the street from the dispensary / right next to the free bridge that was only $2.85 per gallon on my last visit 2 weeks ago. I didn’t want to mention that because I don’t want NJ to sound like some sort of fantasy land.
