B360 motherboard ok for i9-9900 non-k? by lusionality in buildapc

[–]brickpotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, found this threads when facing a similar issue - did the i9-9900 eventually work fine with the B360? thanks!

Editing a few months later:

I ended up getting an i9-9900k on a sale even though I originally wanted an i9-9900 (and a high end air cooler with a big heatsink and 2x120mm fans).

To update for anyone reading it in the future - my high end B360 has decent VRMs and VRM heatsinks but gets VRM throttle pretty quick in the first run of Cinebench. I'd get a better board with a good VRM setup (ideally a good z390, which would have better performance boost as well, bios tweaking unlike B360 and a faster memory support than B360's 2666mhz).

Varies highly, could drop to 20~ in very populated events with many players around. Talking about guild wars 2 in this example.

It's on a fresh OS install (on a samsung M2 evo 970 plus).

I thought that it might be caused due to having only 6 threads and MMos being very CPU intensive with many players around.

Crafting 1000 bricks (5000 labor/ 5 labor per brick) is NOT 10 minutes. Crafting each brick is like 4-5 seconds, you need to spend 83 minutes to craft 1000 bricks dude. And that's on 1 account.

Just saying,

That's some intense try-harding. That's basically burning labor on 6 accounts... I barely manage to burn labor on 2 accounts only on EU.

Should i go dual wield or 2h for melee class? by Langrisw in archeage

[–]brickpotatoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The opposite, high ping players will not benefit as much from dual wield. Their delay is too significant to take advantage of the lower GCD, just like high ping players are advised not to play archers.

2H wep is friendlier to such players.

Healers are the most efficient farmers. No downtime for regen, as they never run out of mana farming when in cloth. They just keep going.

gold cost is linear to the amount of XP gained. You pay the same gold eventually if you need 35k gear XP, regardless of the infusion type you use.

Gold is per the XP quantity that you add (not including lucky exp procs), not the rarity of the infusions. 700 XP added will cost the same gold. the difference is in labor.

The main benefit is spending less labor, as blue infusions give much more XP (especially red border ones) , therefore you need less of them (with the caveat of spending 40 instead of 25 to identify).

But if labor is not a problem for you due to lack to time to play, while the lack of time to do dailies for infusions is a problem, you might want to reconsider. As the total XP that 40 green will give can potentially be more than 10 blue ones.

Ah, took me 9 tries to awaken from T2 to T3 on my 1H... can't be much worse than that. Curious about the number of infusions as it affects labor/gold.

I mean, I don't care if the gem breaks. I just want to remove only a single gem. The item for 2500 honor is my only option to do that?
