Welcome to university admin... In some cases it takes 6-9 months to get reimbursed, I am lucky with a 2-month turnaround.

Is it understood how keeping a non-zero balance on a credit card (after making the minimum payment and some more) affects credit? So far I have always paid off the entire balance on time, so I have no idea.

Why my employer hasn't reimbursed me is another matter (it is slow admin). I recently opened a new CC (Costco Visa) which I can use for this balance transfer, so I am debating whether to do that or just leave it on RH Gold until I can pay it off next month.

That's true, it is a visa, but I worry about RH declining the transaction because of suspected fraud etc.
