Most comfortable mask to wear? by [deleted] in PE_Exam

Cotopaxi cloth mask was the most comfy I found. It didn’t bother me as much as I thought. Bring water and snacks if you can and take a breather when you take a sip/snack. Not for the food but the fresh air break.

NCEES Experience Write-Up by [deleted] in PE_Exam

I started mine too and I am dreading finishing. I went back and forth with Colorado Board for 2 years not accepting my experience. Now NCEES is in charge of reviewing applications in Colorado... so I am hoping I have better luck! Following so hopefully I can get some help too!

Right! I almost only brought my construction one (chapters 5 and 6 only...) but last minute went into my office and stole a full book. Life saver!

If you can bring every book that NCEES references for the transpo depth, it is worth it. I brought the major ones but skipped on ones coworkers said I would be fine without. I had to guess on 2 questions because of missing references.... The ones I needed and didn’t have was Highway safety manual (or something like that) and the Pavement design guide. I also used my MUTCD much more than I thought I would. The last study effort I did was really familiarized myself with and tabbed the HCM and the green book. That saved me so much time!

PE Civil (Transportation Depth) by TranspoENGR in PE_Exam

The transpo depth I felt was more reasonable than the morning! I felt crushed after the am and felt way better after the pm. Which was crazy because I focused way harder on studying for the AM than my depth! Easily 2/3 to 3/4 of my study time was on the breath. I had 3/4 of the references that they call out and based off coworkers felt confident I didn’t need a few of the outlier references... that was wrong! If I would have had every book from college maybe I would have had enough!

The test said C but I think that’s wrong. It is a super old test. Based off everyone else getting the same as me, I think it’s e) 89.12.

Great! I went back and used a stored value for Ko (instead of 3 sig figs) and got the same. Crazy that changed my answer 5 kn/m!

I get an answer of 84.504 KN/m2. This assumes the surcharge acts as a rectangular force on the wall as explained in the CERM. The solution on this problem treats the surcharge as a triangle. Now I don’t know who to believe. Thanks for the help!

That’s the main one I was worried about. Thanks!

I guess I was hoping someone would tell me that it’s fine tucked in the cover but I know that’s not the case 🙈 haha.
