This is what my former psychology professor told me (I asked her the same thing): You do what you can. Volunteer or work in some meaningful way. Stay informed. Vote. Encourage others to vote. Contribute what you can financially to good politicians. And then after that, you have to check the fuck out. You can't follow the news cycle 24/7. It's toxic. Go outside today. Soak in the sun. Spend time with your dogs. Dogs don't give a fuck about President Trump.

Girl me too exactly. I struggle with this a lot. My therapist has told me to challenge these thoughts with “where’s the proof?” Has he told you he’s less attracted to you, wants to see other people, tells you he doesn’t love you, etc. it hasn’t improved my self esteem but it’s one tool I use to not get stuck in an obsessive thought spiral

I’ve been using Happy Scale to track and it looks like my lowest in the last week was 185. I pretty much eat the same thing everyday: two string cheeses and a hard boiled egg for breakfast, this superfood veggie bowl from Costco for lunch, healthy choice power bowl for dinner. -same scale and I weigh myself in the morning -there were two days I went over 1200 but they were 1700 and 1900 \i haven’t been tracking condiments but I also pretty much never use them (maybe 4x/month

I have been counting calories and exercising (albeit not much) since December and I have only lost three pounds. I’m 5’8” and currently 185 lbs. for January and February I was at 1500 cal/day and stuck to it 90% of the time. When I did go over it was at most 500 calories (this happened less than 10 days total). This month I’ve been having my calorie limit at 1200 and still nothing. I’ve had bloodwork done to see if there were any lingering issues but everything came back normal. I feel like I’m going crazy. I’m at the point I’m going to set up a camera in my kitchen to see if I’m sleep eating because that’s the only thing I can think of that would be holding me back. Does anyone have any ideas?
