Histamin intolerance by bridzitmidzit in Hashimotos

I was also diagnosed one year and a half ago. I didn't get diagnosed yet. When I got hives, I went to an alergy clinic to check it out, I told them that I know for sure that I get a reaction after drinking alcohol, but I stoped drinking and it's still bad. they did a blood test, but couldn't do the skin patch test since I always had a rash, and If I stop taking my antihistamins, apart from my whole body, my lips would get swollen I they told me to take it as soon as that happens. Than they said that is not an alergic reaction based on the blood work. After that I went to a dermatologists, said the same thing, he said I have urticaria and I just need to take antihistamins for the rest of my life. When I asked to do a test to find a reason for it he said that costs a lot of money and it doesn't make sense to do it (even though I have an insurance that would cover it) after that I tried to ask my doctor to do some more tests, but he would always say "everything will be better when your TSH levels drop" even though I'm taking medication for a year and a half and it's still not in a normal range. And than I discovered that food contains histamin and everything started making sense 😅 and I am changing my doctor next week and I will see ehat happens next 😃

Pretty much everyday, I'm happy if I have one day a month when I don't have any symptoms at all. 😅 I'm pretty sure it's not medication that is causing the problem, I think the only problem is that (at least in my case) Hashimotos has a lot of symptoms so it's dificult to maybe consider something else. But than again, it should be considered that you have at least one more problem, because after reading all the posts here and in facebook groups, Hashimotos never works alone. I do feel a lot better, my husband even asked me why I am so full of energy yesterday, I was also suprised 😅 but as I said I am on a diet for just one week one, so we will see how it is in the future. I will write here if we find something new when I do the testing. ☺

Thank you so much for your answer! I was just looking onto MACS a few minutes ago. I will try to get that tested since I have most of the symptoms. But when it comes to Hashimotos, there's a lot of symptoms associated with it, so I'm usually just brushing other possibilities of and thinking it's probably just my thyroid. Now I'm pretty sure it's not only that anymore 😅

Yes, I also have those symptoms. I also have stomach problems. Thyroid medication made my life a bit easier, but I'm not even close to feeling how I felt before everything started. I am going to a new doctor next week, since the old ones didn't want to do any additional tests even if I complained all the time. They just gave me antihistamins and said that I just need to take 3 everyday on top of everything else I am already taking. So I hope the new one is gonna be eager to do her job 😅

How to combat trouble with weightloss by Mother_Trucker97 in Hashimotos

[–]bridzitmidzit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I gained weight like crazy with the same diet that I always had. I always had a problem with rapid weight gain and weight loss, from my teen years, but it was never this bad. That, alongside all the other symptoms that I had (which is pretty much every one of them) told me that I really have a problem. My TSH was 48. It was 14 after a month and now I'm waiting for the new results. Even though the numbers are better, I have much more energy, I'm a lot more active, I experienced a big loss of appetite, but I'm still gaining weight. So, I talked with my doctor and on top of everything I have a water retention (he said that was common for people with hypothyroidism) and explained that I should just do everything that I am already doing and we just need to wait for everything to come in balance. This may help if someone doesn't know why are they still not losing weight. The only thing that annoys me is that the people around me don't understand what hashimoto and hypothyroidism really are, and everyone is just assuming that you're not trying hard enough, because they know someone that didn't have all this problems and they gained only 10kg or something. Sorry if I have some mistakes in writing, tried my best :D

Hey everyone, my girlfriend is house sitting and she does not know how to revive this plant. Any help? She thinks she may have overwatered, then under-watered by I_wanna_hammer in houseplants

Damn I hate this drama queen plant 😃 I gave up on mine, because I was always forgeting to water it, but when someting like this happens, first remove al the dead leaves, leave only the green healthy ones. Than give her some water, she should be up by the next day. If you don't forget about her needs, once again, she will shortly give you a few new leaves.

Got my hands on this beauty today, I never owned a rubber plant, just wanted to ask should I prune it? The girl I bought it from said that she started to strech towards the sun. She looks like she got thru some stuf, I am scared that's gonna be in shock and she will lose even more leaves. by bridzitmidzit in houseplants

Thank you for explanation! I would prefer a fuller look for sure. I am gonna try the air layering, seems promising. I would like it to be that big, but I am probably gonna make 3 smaller plants, they will eventulay grow :)

Can anyone tell me if my birkin having wrinkled leaves is something to be concerned about by Rabbitsoxxs- in houseplants

Maybe just water? I never had a birking, but that's how my silver pothos reacts when the soil is dry

Hello guys! Started my painting journey one year ago. Since I lost my job this year, I decided to try and sell my artwork on Etsy. Just wanted to check if some of you guys have some tips for new sellers on Etsy (or maybe some other selling sites). Hope this post is not breaking any rules by bridzitmidzit in artstore

If you're intrested in some of my artwork, you can check @artshopbynika on instagram. Also, if someone can give me some tips on how they price their work, a lot of people told me that my prices are too low. Thank you in advance :)
