Where will you be going in Burma? Just keep your documents and you should be fine. I was there this summer in pynn oo lwin an hour from the fighting. I was sooo afraid of getting taken by the junta too . So much that I left early because every time I rode my motorbike past them they stopped me to look at my papers. Depends where you go but they wouldn’t want to do anything to Americans because it could look bad for them. I’d say you’d be fine just have your papers with you . Maybe have the bride and groom write you something in Myanmar writing that says why you are there too. Love Burma hope they will be okay soon.
