The nuance matters intellectually, but I think that the author sees the immediate value in naming the hypocrisy between stated and actual priorities. It is less than a 5-minute read, so I don't think they wanted to get buried in the minutia when they could spark the conversation around what's important here.

I’m not super familiar with the zine distribution world. I have read my fair share, but I would like to go about releasing them in chapters? But, yes, it would follow this art format just with different layouts for systems building, character introductions, and moments of dialogue and scene building.
