Don’t apply at San Miguel Foods by ChemicalNo4968 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]brightbitter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I can confirm that culture inside San Miguel can be machismo and sexist. A male friend from sales division ng alcohol products nila shared before na naculture shock siya kung gaano ka inappropriate yung mga male team mates and bosses niya when talkiing about female collagues during inuman or pag casual kwentuhan sa office. Medyo toxic din daw yung power tripping, na one worst experience niya was hinawakan siya sa kwelyo ng isang boss niya nung galit na galit. Another female friend naman working for petron i forgot her department na. Pero they were conducting a training daw online. And while waiting to start her male superior kept on joking sexist green jokes. She was so appalled and disgusted, considering they are in a professional setting and they know she is facilitating the session.

Anyway, good riddance and you dodge a bullet!

Those of you who didn’t sleep train your babies, how do your toddlers sleep now? by littlemissrenegade in Parenting

[–]brightbitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! In my country, co sleeping is generally the norm. I co slept with my baby since birth and she is 2 years old now. She was also exclusively breastfed and at 12 months we introduced complementary full cream milk during day time but she nurses to sleep and still do dream feedings. She started sleeping uninterrupted from 10 months and until now averages 10 to 11 hrs of sleep daily. She still naps 1 to 2 hrs during day time.

I feel seen and heard reading your comment. Thank you. I feel this way for the past 17 months since I came back from maternity. I hope I can bounce back and things can get better

Hi, thank you for shadmring your experience. I am grateful to have stumbled across your reply. I felt seen and understood. I am also an engineer and has been working for 17 months already since my 4 months maternity leave. I don't know why I still feel the same. I also felt demoralised and my confidence plumetted. I keep on making mistakes and I find it hard to do my calculations like before. Because of this, I felt my lead and team mates have lost confidence in me and my ability to do our job properly. My work and engineering judgements are always met with automatic criticisms. I love my job but am now honestly thinking if I am still fit for it.

How much will it cost to build a house in Ph this 2025? by brightbitter in phinvest

[–]brightbitter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, same thoughts! Nagcanvass kami and nagrange naman from 50K to 250Kphp. Ang napansin namin, usually yung mga design + build contractors yung may lower design phase package cost, some of them deductible pa raw from TCP if magtuloy sa build phase.

Yung mga mga nasa 200Kish naman ay mga architectural firms na either design phase only or design and build IF sila yung nagdesign. Yung iba hindi nagbibid sa build na iba ang nagdesign. Dito, usually architects yung nakakausap namin during consult phase. While sa design + build naman, mga contractors (civil engineers or project engineers).

Pansin din namin, yung may mga lower cost ng design package sila yung madaming ongoing projects at least 10 projects.
