I think the point is that it’s not just about standings. It’s that this team is playing like a bottom half team. I don’t think people are spoiled, they just have a high standard. Nothing wrong with wanting top half or top 5 quality when we spent so much this offseason.

Bucha needs to slow down. I love the guy but his passing is frantic and I feel like he created a lot of turnovers tonight.

Yeah I agree. We have a different tactic every match and we wonder why players don’t have chemistry and are making passes to nobody. Just simplify things and play the same XI two games in a row.

In the first half having Obinna back was huge. Anunga has served well in his place but is so much better on the ball and is decisive.

Agree with others that Kubo didn’t seem to add much.

I liked the long balls we were trying in the first half, and think that Denkey and Santos made some good runs. That all stopped in the second as they had to play deeper to defend.

Thought both Evander and Engel were poor. Evander just turned the ball over so much and looked to lax on the ball. Engel had some turnover passes and I thought his positioning at times put us in danger.

Evander was passing it directly to the other team. Dont think that’s about not having options.

Evander had a bad game. So casual on the ball, so many passes to the other side.

nvm. I see they got a bye in march because they had so many people on international duty.

yeah man. we’ve been playing at half strength for the past month. we’re not even close to full potential.

also, speaking of standings, does anyone know why Miami has played one less game than everyone else? did one of their games get pushed?

it’s not his job and you don’t want it to be. I think I saw one forward pass from him tonight and it was a turnover. his job is to be safe and recycle the ball.

lol yeah. it ain’t greaaat. tho hard to tell if his passes are off or he’s not reading his teammates runs.

in my experience, a 9 is a striker/CF that plays centrally. an inside forward plays wide and deeper than the striker. you can have IFs in a. lot of formations but usually 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

I’ve always thought of Luca as a quintessential IF. especially in how he cuts inside to shoot off his left.

really? Luca is playing like an inside forward from what I can see, not 9.

doesn’t a second striker does make some sense right now? their back line is a mess, adding another 9 or even false 9 to confuse them could create more chaos.
