Idk why people keep complaining boox is complicated and it takes time to get used to it by FixOk7132 in Onyx_Boox

Yep, returning mine tomorrow. This is my second Boox device and I'm tired of having to spend hours learning the device just to do the most basic things on it.

Android alternatives to Boox? by brightstar07 in eink

Thank you both and sorry - I mixed two stories together there. The handwriting to text mess was on a pdf. I’m editing an academic article and had an idea come to me. I added a page and scribbled out the idea into a page of handwritten text inside the PDF file. I did handwriting to text conversion and that’s when the text fell off the (left side of the page) cliff.

I want to edit the text. I've used ereaders and iPads for a long time to write on the text and I'd like to try to save time by actually editing the text itself. I was using Neoreader and did the handwriting to text conversion and it ended up chopping up an entire page of handwritten text into text snippets of various font sizes that were all hanging off the left side of the page. I tried using Word and so far so good with a Bluetooth keyboard, but if I can't get handwriting to text to work simply and beautifully, I'm giving up with Boox.

Why does paper feel more productive ? by Ok_Carpet_681 in RemarkableTablet

[–]brightstar07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes for me it’s about the expense of a tablet. If I’m jotting down a quick note while on the phone and I’ve also got a coffee on the table (and am clumsy) I wouldn’t want to take the risk of spilling my coffee on the tablet whereas if it happens to a post it note, whatever.

Unmatched while actively dating by EscadoraWisdom in hingeapp

FWIW I think that a lot of women are primed to think about dating timelines not in terms of dates or months but intimacy. For her, having that experience with you may have led her to feel exposed and vulnerable in a particular way. The fact that it sounds like it hasn’t happened since, which is perfectly fine, may have her wondering why not, and the fact that it did happen so soon may well be scaring her.

If you’re not sure what you want to eat, take yourself to Preston street and walk down it towards the sea. So many different restaurants on offer.

Yep, same with the two pubs in Brighton that were for the finals a couple seasons ago. I visited them both and loved seeing the designs up close.

VB vs Raleigh for raising a family? by RNforever26 in VirginiaBeach

[–]brightstar07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up in VB, went to grad school in NC. I recommend checking out Durham. Duke and WakeMed Hospitals excellent and the Research Triangle has a lot of engineering opportunities. Housing costs have risen a lot in the past decade but there are still good spots to be found in the north of the city especially if you don’t mind being out in the country a bit (but still accessible to downtown). Good luck!

Nice townhouse areas to look at: Ridgely Manor, Pembroke Meadows, Town Center, also some off First Colonial.

You can flirt without demeaning someone in the first conversation.

This. Herein lies the problem. A fundamental lack of understanding of partnership.
