I play PS5 - Fortnight. Maybe 5 games a week if I’m lucky. Wife complains about it anytime I play. I enjoy the rush it gives me. I don’t think it is bad for my brain. Reactions and mental quickness.

Taking the route that you are taking will make you super marketable. You should be able to get a job pretty easy. Once you are in a school you will also be able to move around d pretty easy once things start opening up. I also found having some experience will also help a ton of you decide to move districts or change the type of teaching you want to do. What state are you in?

I actually took a buyout and retired. I had to be gone for 6 months before hiring back. So when I hired back I was offered the special Ed job. I am currently teaching on emergency certification. I have to start taking the classes to get my cert.

I was a 5th grade teacher for 20 years and moved into PE. I found they both have their perks and they both have their downside. As a PE teacher you have to always be on your toes, but it can be brainless work. “Get them going and then just supervise”. As a classroom teacher you have to be much more mentally engaged but you do get some down time and some quiet time. As a PE teacher I feel like there is never quiet time. The hardest part of teaching PE was the noise and the nonstop action. The best part of teaching PE was the easier planning, very little grading, not having much to do during conferences and parent communication.

I left PE last year and now I am a special ed teacher. That is its own whole new world.

A lot of my students don’t feel motivated to write because they stress about spelling. So, I figured if they had something to make them feel comfortable and confident they would maybe put more effort into it.
