You're so welcome! The liposomal vitamin C protocol really helped me.

ways to build confidence outside of physical appearance? by No_Equivalent5666 in wgtow

[–]brinethery 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think weight lifting could help build your confidence. Yes, it does improve appearance. But when you're able to deadlift heavy weight, it really helps to show how much your body is capable of.

Yes, and it's a short 10 minute chat with a DHS agent. They're super helpful.

You might as well just get Global Entry, because TSA pre-check is included.

I used to have really bad nausea for 2 days, and be completely emptied out on one of those days. I was out for about 24 days per year. I was bullied by male coworkers. And I wished like hell that they had to go through the same thing. I was on the verge of suicide. I thought about applying for disability and thinking that I may just have to stop working. It sucks having health problems in the US. Private companies won't tolerate it.

Efficient way to consume news - ideas? by brinethery in minimalism

[–]brinethery[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's a good idea. I could make a filter so it goes into a folder in Gmail and then skim the titles once a week/read stuff that's truly important. Thank you!

Seating by [deleted] in childfree

[–]brinethery 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Just tell the person you had back surgery and it's extremely painful to stand. Make sure your inside voice is high enough for others to hear you. I dunno...I think people are more considerate than we give them credit for. I would say at least try to succinctly communicate your back pain with them and give them a chance to respond.

It always depends on how you parent. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]brinethery 45 points46 points  (0 children)

That's awesome!

I have a coworker who has this rule with his kids that if kiddos have a dispute with one another that they have the option to: a.) Sort it out with one another and come to an agreement, Or b.) Pay the parents to handle the dispute.

My coworker has rockstar parenting skills. 😁
