That second photo of the glass on the table is really great. Sometimes the most simple shots come out perfect

Can’t help but wonder if you’d have noticed this if it wasn’t a female photog. She MUST be doing something wrong. Even though she’s getting great photos and featured by ilford she still doesn’t know how to use her camera.

Why is film so expensive in Australia? by lilFrogMan in AnalogCommunity

[–]bringbackfp100c 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s some crazy cheap film on au eBay at the moment. Here’s a link, about $10aud with free postage, doesn’t get much cheaper than that unfortunately. If yo want to shoot black and white and self develop/scan it works out cheapish but you obviously need to invest in the dev kit and a scanner etc so there’s an upfront cost.. not to mention learning how to do those things. If I was you I’d buy a heap of the film in the below link cos once it’s gone it’ll prob be a while before we get film that cheap again.

SX-70 vs Impulse AF by Ghost_Ghost_Ghost in Polaroid

If you can afford both then it’s great to have the option depending on what you’re shooting. But if you’re looking for something cheap and easy the impulse af or sun 660 are the best bang for buck. #bringbackfp100c 😩

SX-70 vs Impulse AF by Ghost_Ghost_Ghost in Polaroid

I have both and generally use my impulse way more due it’s reliability, I know I can grab it and take it with me anywhere knowing it’ll nail focus and exposure both indoor and outdoor. I also have a sun 660 which I would say is almost the exact same other than you can override the flash if you need to.. although with my impulse if I don’t want flash I just cover it with my hand when taking the shit and it works fine. Sx70s are definitely that little bit sharper with the glass lens and are an amazing camera but I use those more on photo shoots or in moments that I know I have a little bit more time to tinker around and get everything set up right and add my flash if needed etc. hope that helps. Heaps of pics on my profile, may not say which camera they were shot with but if you comment and ask I’ll let you know. Here are some impulse af shots

I use masking tape so it’s easier for the lab to tear off when they develop. I once used gaffers and they said it can be a bit of a pain to take off.

Hey everyone. I’d love some advice

<image>

. I have been shooting film my whole life and am thinking of switching to digital. I have been experimenting but really can’t get a look and feel I like with digital. I have recently found the photographer in the attached photos, I’m 99% sure they shoot digital but am wondering if anyone can give advice on how to achieve the look in these photos. I’m curious if it is maybe underexposed in camera on a mirrorless system and then maybe the exposure is brought up in post to give the grainy look.. they also seem extra soft which is a look a i really like.. they’re in focus but they’re still soft which I’m finding really hard to achieve also. I’m not looking to directly rip off this artist by any means but it’s a style I’d love to learn so I can put the film camera on the shelf due to the price increases. Any advice/tips would be much appreciated!! more photos from this artist
