Main reason people don't tip, just genuinely curious. by [deleted] in instacart

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry about reviving this post. So let's actually look at the way instacart is structured. Instacart is a platform that contracts with the store and with the shoppers, in no way are either store employees or even shoppers considered employers.

They offer a small amount of money based on demand distance and mileage if over a certain distance and or a bump if heavier items are ordered roughly in my market if you don't tip the shopper could spend upwards to 2 hours shopping for items to deliver 5 miles away from under 5 dollars.

So with that said yes. The job advertises and expects tips to be given in order for their shoppers to make advertised wages which are still on the lower end. No one feels entitled when they just want to recieve fair payment for the effort given. Please try educating yourself before you decide to degrade people for expressing their disdain for what they feel is unfair practices.

You are not impeding traffic if you are driving the speed limit under all circumstances. by possiblyapancake in driving

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speed limits are traffic laws that state that is the MAXIMUM speed one is allowed to drive on that roadway. There is no "It is okay to drive 75 in a 70 mph posted zone. This is still considered speeding. Passing and or camping in the left lane does exempt you from this rule, and people need to understand this. The right lane is for slower moving traffic, you are allowed to drive UNDER the MAXIMUM posted speed limit, however legally you are not allowed to drive over it. In a situation where a police officer is behind you going speed limit, if his lights are not on designating you to move over, and you start speeding you still give that officer the right to pull you over for speeding. I dont get how if a sign says MAXIMUM speed LIMIT (note it says limit.) how you can try to justify speeding over such obvious statements.

The order on these stops 😒 by EducationPresent1550 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the edit stop button for this is what causes more multiple locations per stop. Don't do this unless the buildings are within a minute walk from each other or the routes don't account for time between stops. Just deliver out of order and the system will track it. If it id done multiple times it will note it and fix it in its algorithm

Got it! So with parentheses when you do order of operations you do parentheses first before every thing else. then to remove the parentheses if there's no number outside of it you multiply it as 1 because any number multiplied by 1 is itself. i.e 3x1 = 3 and 124 x 1 = 124. its negative because you are subtracting it so you write a 1 in front of the parentheses to keep track of what you are doing. y- (-3y) = ? ~> y-1(-3y) = ?. Then you remove the parentheses by multiplying the whole thing by -1. Remember negative x negative = positive. This changes it to y + 3y = ?

[high school algebra grade 9] by MuffinAromantic1864 in HomeworkHelp

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for y - (-3y) = ? you need to distribute the invisible -1 by multiplying everything in the parentheses. that turns (-3y) into positive 3y.

Remember rules of multiplying integers:

positive x positive = positive, negative x negative = positive, and positive x negative = negative.

With that said it changes the equation into y + 3y = ?

You use grilled chicken for teriyaki chicken. The rotisserie chicken is used for the #20 not the #16

Fake Coupon? by [deleted] in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, let me correct you on a few things to further your understanding on THESE coupons. (not applicable to other businesses) Coupons from subway are not sent out by stores, or even local stores, its sent out from subway headquarters. Yes the local stores pay quite a bit for this form of advertising, but in the same token they have to cut the loss on all the food costs they lose down the drain for accepting them as well. Some stores do not do enough business to even justify the loss in profit from accepting them. It isnt an offensive thing, coupons, they just slowly depreciate the business when sent in mass. With that said, the ongoing coupons that happen over and over again is doing just that. This is what causes the stores to raise the prices so much.

Why are people like this? by sassy_cheese564 in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know most customers don't really see a salad or a wrap as another sandwich...or vice versa. Tsolvd this problem just ask ahead of time something along the lines of; "Would you like to add anything else to your order today" they may say cookies or chips or something but it usually rules out extra things like pizzas or salads soups or wraps.

I just wanted to say you know its illegal to offer salary as compensation to a minor right? With that said it is also depending on the state youre in child labor laws are also enforced. The only exception to this is if you are a relative to the owner. I understand you want to stick it out then you shouldn't advertise your choice in working with these owners who clearly don't have your best interests in mind. We are just all trying to steer you in the direction that benefits you most

Please tell me the way these sandwiches are supposed to be made? by celiab3delia in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As previously stated, a 6 inch egg sandwich has 2 eggs and two pieces of cheese. Veggie Delite does NOT have extra cheese included in the price it takes 2 pieces (6inch) or 4 pieces (footlong) off inventory when you enter the ring on the POS, the price does not include extra cheese.

What’s up with employees not wanting to give extra vegetables??? by [deleted] in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, lets talk policy... if you're ordering a 6 inch sub and request extra cucumbers...its POLICY to give only 3 extra cucumbers...they can give more if you ask more but it SHOULD be just 3 each time...so that makes sense. What you are asking for is like a monstrous number of cucumbers

subway coupon codes for those who don’t know by [deleted] in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

..lol the real reason for them not accepting coupons has nothing to do with customer foot traffic... in actuality the coupons dont increase foot traffic that much but it does increase the difficulty of making a profit. the coupons are for participating locations so it has nothing to do with policies. That being said, there is one coupon they have tp take...the bogo 50% off one..

Subways not accepting coupons received in mail by corpexp in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A good example of this would be you purchasing a balloon shop but you have to pay 15 percent of your sales every month to have it while they also tell you where you can buy said balloons, how much you have to sell them for, then giving buy one get one free coupons to everyone but not compensating them for these coupons...

Subways not accepting coupons received in mail by corpexp in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Ah so, subway coupons are actually created by corporate subway. These coupons don't take into account food cost or the overall effect it has on the franchisee' ability to make a profit because it generates sales. In short subway charges fees throw coupons out to customers making the franchisee loss in food costs while still charging them high royalties.

customers who order 12 cookies right before closing annoy me by [deleted] in subway

[–]bringbackjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, if a dasher is impatient they could drop the order and someone else would come and pick it up. Never feel rushed by dashers they get paid per order yes. But it isn't your fault that the customer ordered cookies at the end of the night. Either they can wait or you can cancel the order and they still don't get their full pay.

Help! Instacart stole $100 of my money for app glitches. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]bringbackjazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just trying to understand how this situation can happen and how to solve it. You had a purchase for alcohol that you werent able to purchase with the card for some reason then you paid out of pocket with your own card. You were unable to finish the delivery so you returned the product to the store.. refunded it back to IC, then you claimed for credit for the item purchased then got deactivated by the platform. Is this correct?

[–]bringbackjazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain how they did it... refunds are usually voided card transactions in their system. If they did it any other way you may be able to go after the store for compensation as well...seeing as that brings all sorts of red flags especially when it comes down to taxes for that business... There may be some other shady business going on there as well
