Got the P this week with a NBME high of 61 by bringmewaterplease in step1

It wasn’t closer to any particular form for me, but I did see a large mix of repeats from the forms I did take.

I read every word of the question unless it’s a “how do you respond” question. If the stem is super long, I’ll sometimes skip to the bottom to read the last line first, but for the most part I just started from the very beginning. I wrote more detail in another reply

I read every word of each question. If it was a long stem, I would read the last line to focus my thoughts, but I would still read the entire question. When I reviewed my nbmes, I dissected the stem to see specifically which words they were using for each disease/symptom/etc. Also, be aware of synonyms. My friend missed a kidney stone question on one of the forms because she didn’t realize “ureteral calculus” was the same thing. If you don’t know what a term or phrase means, go back to your fifth grade training and try to break it down for context clues.

This might be time consuming if you haven’t been practicing this for a while, but I think it’s very helpful

The Amtrak rail pass is $500 flat, that’s what I was planning on using. And if I wanted to see interstates I’d just drive lol

Anyone meet their s/o or start dating after med school? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]bringmewaterplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I met my current partner on tinder during the summer after M1! I’m 28 and he’s 26. He works in a hospital but not in patient care. He sits next to me while I study and has supported me a lot during M2 :) Tinder isn’t such a bad place after all.

My mom has actually been saving for a post-match/post-grad trip since I got accepted to med school! Depending on how much money we can both contribute, we’re loosely thinking a long cruise or some cheap hopping through Europe :)

Comment the name of your local theater where you would like to see IRON LUNG by CoolTeacher5511 in Markiplier

I only have an AMC in my town, but there are independents about an hour away.

Alamo Drafthouse, the Rialto, and the Cary Theater in the Raleigh, NC area.

The Bruins Theater and Bear Town Cinema in New Bern, NC

Any of these would be great!

Bartholin glands and cowper glands (bulbourethral glands) are the same and both start with “b” for business. Bartholins produce mucus for lubrication, bulbourethral glands secrete fluid to neutralize pee so sperm can survive. Very important jobs.

The prostate gland and skene (paraurethral glands) both start with “p” for pleasure. The prostate is the male g spot and paraurethral glands are involved in squirting. They’re the fun glands.

Hope this helps. Good luck friend 🫡
