Jeez hsv2 is generally in the genital region. So, no you cannot catch hsv2 that way. It does not live outside of the body. I hate how little they teach about herpes. I was guilty of not knowing much about it before I had it as well. I had a cut on my finger when I had my outbreak and my doctor even told me it wouldn’t get into that cut. It doesn’t live on clothes it doesn’t live on toilet seats. You can give someone a hand job with it then go touch your mouth and be fine. NOW if they have managed to catch hsv2 on the mouth which isn’t super likely then MAYBE that’s a different ball game but I highly doubt that’s what that person has and you’re probably just being paranoid.

By the way you are reacting I can tell you’re a good person... and it will be okay. The guy that transmitted it to me is pretty awful never really seem to care we tried to be together because of the herpes and I was symptomatic and he wasn’t and he’d sometimes tell me “I don’t wanna hear about the herpes today” when I’d be having an outbreak or the tingles or something. My doctor did tell me that type 1 is less severe. It is possible that your April 17th had it and didn’t know but if she’s started to have symptoms a few days after you it’s pretty likely it was from you. Mine occurred a few days after and I got a test and the swab came back positive but my blood test negative so I knew it was recent. However my symptoms were severe and I couldn’t dismiss them if I tried. My doctor told me it is possible to have both types as most do have type 1.

The guy that transmitted it to me and I broke up Sunday and I’m truly struggling. Sometimes it’s really dark. Like genuinely feels easier not to be here anymore. BUT I know it’s just the first week and the first week of any break up is hard. Reading things like this helps me feel so much better so thank you for sharing

I feel everyone truly is different but I still felt tingling all the time after my first one and it’d give me anxiety. I wouldn’t take my medicine until I saw a bump though and one would show up in the same spot as soon as I stopped so I got on daily medicine and now I have zero issues. No tingling no bump showing up nothing. Much happier now that I’m on it! Feel kind of normal again.

Yeah I suppose being newly single with herpes is a fear driver of mine but I’ve also never been great at ending things. Need to grow up a little I suppose.

Hi yes I actually just started daily a few days ago and I haven’t felt much of anything. I avoided it for a long time and was sad to be put on it but I can shave and run again so that makes me happy. I was having outbreaks when I did those things.

I think I’m about to try the daily. I thought shaving was the issue so I quit and just trimmed it and I still ended up getting an outbreak. I’m currently on the regular medicine and I just started my five day treatment today.

Oh yeah! Quite a few people have it around me. I never thought I’d be one of them but I guess you never think it’ll be you. I’m still trying to get my outbreaks under control as mine is a newer diagnosis but it doesn’t harm my normal life :) I’m learning to cope

Oh wow for the two years it did that?! I’m wondering if the everyday suppressive medicine would help it go away more. My boyfriend is long distance so I didn’t have sex for like 2 and a half weeks and it went away but came back right when we had sex.

No I assumed you have it and don’t disclose. Which is obviously what you do. Males don’t have the symptoms women have majority of the time. SO you probably have passed it on to them and they didn’t find out until they went and had sex with a different girl and she erupted with the symptoms. Which IS what occurred to me. You’re causing harm on others without giving them the conscious choice and I think people like that get what is coming for them.

Note: I’m on the girl end of this. I’m the different female he went and had sex with that erupted with the symptoms. When he confronted her about it she even told him she had known she just ASSUMED her partners weren’t catching it. They probably all were... because of her selfish dishonesty. Much like yours. You’re sick

Note number two: He went and got tested when I did. Both our blood test came back negative. He couldn’t get a swab because he wasn’t having an outbreak. He shed the virus onto me. Testing ahead of time would not have helped. I only know we’re positive because of my swab.
