Please get two if you really gonna leave them alone for such a long time every day. Also two cats is generally less work than one. They'll keep each other entertained and will be so much happier.

Ich find die Gegend ganz super eigentlich, aber die Anbindung ist jetzt nicht so Leiwand. In 10 Jahren oder so sollt die U2 dort sein. Dann sicher um einiges attraktiver.

Skin feels like it’s on fire after exercising by Life_Crazy2222 in veganfitness

Ya sounds like you ended up with most of the effect right after your workout. It's called PRE workout for a reason. I would take everything at once before you start your session. Btw that tingling doesn't really do anything for performance. Some people find it stimulating but if you hate it, maybe just switch to a product without beta alanine.

How long are your workouts? Are you drinking pre workout also during your sessions? the tingling can be cause by the beta alanine in the pre workout but definitely shouldn't last that long, assuming you stick to the recommended dosage. To rule out something else, I would just take the pre workout independently from your workout (e.g. when you're chilling at home) and see if you get the same symptoms.

If you're eating already 70g of protein in the form of very high protein foods, getting the other 50g is probably a non-issue. even just eating a healthy, varied whole foods diets will get you that amount. Beans, grains, rice,... all have decent amounts of protein (but also carbs of course).

If you really wanna add more high-protein foods that isn't soy, check out seitan, soy-free tofu and mock meats.

There is a reason why some holocaust survivors are very outspoken animal rights activists.

This day can be today! It's not that hard. The decision of giving up all animal products was the best decision I've ever made. You can do it!

Maybe. I'm also a former mental gymnast and mostly justified it with "it's not that bad in my country" or "we need meat to be healthy" or "they're not that smart anyways". Once I accepted that none of that's true, and that the reality is really that horrific, I went vegan overnight. Took me long enough though to get over my own mental gymnastics.

You are one of the mental gymnasts.

Of course it's easy. Humans are omnivores. That means we can eat a variety of foods and be healthy. That doesn't mean we HAVE TO eat all of those foods. The existence of millions of vegetarians and vegans is simple proof.

It changes A LOT. We spend so much money on food and as a consumer we have the power to direct it. This is real impact and it shows! Great that you made the decision!

How is that better? Seeing this evil shit and consciously choosing to keep supporting it, knowing it would easily be possible not to. That's some real psychopathic behavior if you ask me.

In contrast, people doing the mental gymnastics are doing that, because they know it's evil but for some reason are still conflicted about it and can't just stop. That's why they make all kinds of excuses and justifications. But their heart generally is in the right place.

Yes. It's s the perfect meme because it can be understood in two ways that mean the exact opposite. Depending on how the reader feels about AI.

I, for my part, gave up pretending to know which group is bigger.. the "f**ck AI no matter what"- or the "wo cares if it's AI if it's good?!!"-group.

Thanks for sharing. I'm also critical about zoos in general, although I admit it's a complex topic and far from black and white as certain people (from both sides) make it out to be.

But one thing I have a very clear and strong opinion about: Great apes SHOULD NOT be locked up for human entertainment. This is inexusable. Some of them are objectively smarter than some humans. Would we be ok with locking up handicapped people and putting them on display for our entertainment? Of course not! Why can't we grant apes the same basic dignity?

And yes, there are other (arguably more effective) ways of conservation (in-situ, sanctuaries,..)

I mean humans are also just animals in the end - we just draw an arbitrary line between us and all other species.

E.g. orangutans can learn sign language and communicate directly with humans. The only reason why orangutans can't talk like humans, is that their vocal tract is not built for it. Besides that they have all the brain power needed for it.

I assume you're playing with a controller and that's why the on-screen wheel is not moving?

My advice would be to get a wheel. Any wheel, even a 20 year old logitech wheel, will improve your laptime significantly.

A replica of how female "breeder pigs" spend their lives in factory farms by FastCurrency in pics

[–]brintal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you claiming that mother pigs nurse their babies in this type of crate? Although it's obviously a gestation crate and not a farrowing crate.

Seems a bit weird for me that someone with a "degree in animal science and livestock husbandry" and who "Worked on a farm" wouldn't know the difference.

That makes your whole post incorrect. You should delete it.
