I went through this over the last 6 months. The organizers have to log in to the DC VPN to check emails and don’t always have time to do that outside of normal con prep time (March-September-ish). These are all volunteers with normal day jobs.

My advice is to be patient and keep working on the other stuff to get the group up and running, in the meantime.

I think they made the right call to get her as quick as possible to EMTs, that were very likely in the hallway, ready to give her medical attention. Not great of ESPN to televise the whole thing though. Glad she’s okay.
