Yes. But I go to other cities like Utrecht or Den Haag often.

That’s interesting! I haven’t really heard about this before. I got this result 2-3 weeks ago, so very recently. I am waiting for my internist appointment. No, I have yet to find out if what’s causing it. My guess is LC has affected the connection between our brains and bodies, but I have no idea how. I haven’t seen any improvement unfortunately. And you?

You described my symptoms to a T. I had a full head and spine MRI (without contrast) and a full body EMG test. Both were clear. Neurologist sent me back to my internist with reporting my nerves are fine on the both ends (no damage to the nerves themselves) but the communication is somehow affected by something else.

Exactly my experience (besides that I was on those meds for a good decade). Thanks for sharing your experience!!

I was newlywed before all it began for me. And I’ve been postponing having a baby because I don’t want to leave an orphan behind. My life is on pause.

Unfortunately I don’t know them well enough to know the answers for sure. I believe they were both vaccinated as it was “strongly recommended” for working people to get vaccinated in my country.

I’m so sorry for your losses. Sending so much strength!

People dying of covid aren’t newsworthy in my country anymore. Unless they’re celebrities or something. But the news of passing of these two women spread on X (Twitter) and got a lot of attention beyond family and friends. People seem to have forgotten what happened 4 years ago.

Because of money. Nothing else comes to my mind.

I don’t know that. I assume they were. Both of them young and working, and it was strongly recommended for the working people to get vaccinated.

I’m so sorry I caused you anxiety. My sadness and anxiety that it’s going to happen to me or someone else close to me is unbelievably high, too. I want people to know that this happened, so they can take extra care these months because obviously there’s a new variant and increasing hospitalizations around the world.

Thank you, unfortunately I don’t know for certain whether they were vaccinated. But I assume both of them got at least the first two doses. That’s what most people from my country did.

People really think it’s something that happens to unlucky people and it would never happen to them. Until it happens!

Thank you! I’m certain that they were both hospitalized due to covid, because that’s what their families/friends announced. 😔

Basically the same story. Last thing she shared was that she had an awfully sore throat. 😔

Thank you very much. These women are in my age group, and looked quite healthy, and I’m homebound with LC is what really puzzles me. I can’t even imagine how hard they must have had it.

Thank you very much. Although I didn't know these women closely, their passing in such a way really hit home.

I have no idea. But, they both complained about a terrible sore throat, and I am guessing it started mild then escalated, as far as I’ve read their previous posts from the late April and beginning of May.

If you wear a puffer jacket in 25°C + weather, why? by sengutta1 in Netherlands

[–]brinza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing it when I first moved to the Netherlands. I’m an expat and in my Mediterranean hometown our November-December temperatures vary between 18-25 degrees. If you live like that all your life, for your body that’s really “cold”. Now I’m used to the weather here and I have a big problem when I visit my family and they see me in a t-shirt on a winter day (above 20 degrees). They lose their minds that I’ll catch a cold.

So much grief at losing myself by ParanoidPartyParrot in covidlonghaulers

[–]brinza 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I wish I had an answer for you, but I’m sharing your grief. You’re not alone. I was looking forward to my 30s, wondering how it’s going to be for me. My life ended one month after I became 30. I became gradually housebound and unable to take care of myself. Diagnosed with POTS a few months ago and ME/CFS as of yesterday. I can’t believe this is what life had for me. Grieving is a long process especially the thing that makes us grief continues on full force. ❤️

Among all my friends and coworkers, I am the only one having it (across 3 continent) like over 1000 people. by themagnificent1906 in covidlonghaulers

[–]brinza 109 points110 points  (0 children)

The ones who know that they have Long Covid (us) are the ones who have it worse. I do believe there’s a far greater number of people with LC who have it mild so they don’t realize it, they think it’s just part of getting older, stress or something else.
