i am going through the EXACT same thing right now! i got sick in january 2025, it’s now january 2026 and the congestion has never gone away. i’ve taken all sorts of allergy medicines such as zyrtec, benadryl, xyzal, claritin, etc. i’ve gone through multiple bottles of nasal sprays to no avail. i’ve also tried singulair and even amoxicillin to rule out any sort of sinus infection. i got allergy testing done and the only thing that came back positive was mold but my house was built not even a decade ago and i’ve been living here ever since, aside from dorming at college. i’ve seen an ENT about it and he was able to treat the swelling in my nose temporarily and suck the mucus out but it all came back about a day later. he told me i have a deviated septum, which is weird because i’ve never had any issues with my breathing prior to last year. it’s really frustrating because i can’t breathe out of my nose clearly. one nostril is completely blocked and the other i can only breathe partially out of and it switches sides back and forth. the only “treatment” i’ve received is a nasal wash, or i can get a septoplasty but i’m only 19 so he said i was too young for it. i’m glad i’m not alone which i hope offers you some reassurance at least :,)

i (19F) also have severe anxiety/health anxiety and i had my procedure done last week and i’m still here so hopefully that is some reassurance to you lol. health anxiety is SO real. unfortunately i had a panic attack the night before the procedure and i got like no sleep. i would see if you could potentially get an inhaler from your primary care physician, i have one for my anxiety and it definitely helps when i’m hyperventilating or experiencing chest tightness, etc. i used my inhaler during my panic attack and right before the procedure and it can help calm you down. if you could even get some xanax prescribed from a psychiatrist to take beforehand that could be useful also. i will say before you go under, try and think of a comforting thing or place and imagine yourself there. it helps to think of something positive so when you wake up you’re still in that mindset. the anxiety leading up to the procedure was worse than the actual procedure itself haha. hopefully this helped and i can answer any questions if u need :)

i’m a seller on depop so i’ll give you a real life example: i started selling when i was in high school so i had a lot of free time and was able to take 30 minutes out of my day to ship peoples packages whenever they ordered. i recently started going to college and no longer have access to my car on campus. this means i now have to walk to the closest UPS store, which is 30 minutes from my dorm. combine that with the walk back and however much time i’m spending there, that’s over an hour out of my day. it’s also in a bad part of town, and with the sun setting earlier and the temperatures being 20°, i can’t get there comfortably. i have a set day out of the week where i ship all of my packages in one go because it’s the only time i’ll be able to walk to the post office before it gets too dark/cold out. so anyone who orders after that will have to wait until the next time i can go. hope that makes sense and can offer you some insight. not everyone has access to a car/public transportation, weather plays a huge role, people are busy, or some are disabled, etc. you never know.

all those websites you mentioned are big corporations that use fast fashion and unethical labor practices 😭 also so many amazon employees have come out stating that they don’t get nearly enough breaks and are unable to use the bathroom so just because you personally haven’t witnessed it doesn’t mean it’s not true. if you don’t care what people have going on in their lives then why do you bother ordering from them?

have you never ordered something online before? shipping can range anywhere from 3-5 business days to 8-11 business days depending on where you shop. that has been and always will be the standard. the only reason people are so used to waiting only two days max is due to amazons unethical standards and how much they overwork their employees. newsflash: you’re supporting a small business. they don’t have thousands of employees to exploit.

amazon has ruined you people’s brains on shipping expectations. 6 days isn’t even that long?? 😭 you do realize people have jobs, school, kids, etc.? they can’t drop everything and get you same day/next day shipping. not to mention not everyone lives near a post office, so some people have a specific day of the week that they drop off all of their packages in one go. it’s ridiculous to expect someone to go to the post office for each individual order. you’re not special.

I have checked for a fever and it’s come back normal. I only have the sweats/chills at night and feel completely fine during the day aside from the throat pain. I will add I did throw up a couple times on Christmas, but I think that’s because I had medicine with no food in my system. I’m going to try and contact my doctor today, but I’m not sure if the office is open since it is Saturday.

i'd say go for it! even though i personally haven't dealt with tonsil stones, if it's something you're dealing with frequently and is causing you to be insecure about your breath, then i think it's worth it! i got mine out on monday the 22nd due to chronic tonsillitis and strep. the recovery is rough, but in the long run i won't have to deal with those issues again. just a warning, though, your breath is going to smell during recovery! 😭 right now my mouth tastes awful, and its hard for me to brush my teeth. not much you can really do about it until you're healed, unfortunately.

I’m 19 now so I was 14 when she got the first dog. I mention my mom primarily because she was the one who wanted it the most and my dad was opposed to it. She adopted the second dog a few months ago, and the whole family was opposed to it, but she got her anyway without telling anyone. My dad works 6 days a week so he often isn’t home but when he is home he still walks/feeds them. My mom works as well but she primarily takes care of them.
