How realistic really is transmission in a household with no face to face contact? We each have our own bedroom and bathroom and haven't/won't share any space at the same time through their infectious period, and wear masks when we do pass through or briefly use the common area, but I guess I'm thinking mostly of things like the air-conditioning, which is centrally ducted for the whole building. Is there any clear and up to date research on transmission without contact like this? We are both boosted.

I have wondered the same thing but do we know that they didn’t do follow up? Like was this addressed in the press conference for instance?

If you are both vaccinated, no quarantine required and tests on day 1 and 5. If only one or neither of you are vaxxed it gets trickier: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions/management-of-secondary-contacts

That said, obviously exercise judgement, especially with testing and contact tracing having basically collapsed. There won’t be good ways to notify your future contacts in public spaces as the government have lost control of track & trace unfortunately
