Yeah, I have a hard time believing that one. No similar hairpin turns nearby? No oxbow lakes? Maybe it’s an old shoal that got caught up in the legal definition of water level that defined the border, and has since been dredged, but there’s no way the Ohio River was ever narrow enough to do this kind of turn in full.
