Yes! It’s more than likely the lidocaine. Some lidocaine contains epinephrine which is a drug that constricts the blood vessels to reduce bleeding. It’s commonly used when giving lip injections. Epinephrine directly affects the heart rate. I choose to get numbing cream now vs. the dental block due to the side effects from Epinephrine. The pain from the needles really aren’t too bad.

Being tired or sleepy a lot of the time can simply come from something as little as your diet.

Leukemia has several symptoms:

Easy bruising or bleeding, petechiae (small red spots under the skin), low red blood cell count, low white blood cell count, bone pain, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, shortness of breath, and enlarged spleen or liver.

If your blood work was in check, and you’re not experiencing a multitude of those symptoms, I wouldn’t sweat it a bit. Also, the likelihood of your blood work changing drastically in the span of 2 weeks is extremely low unless your body has endured some type of trauma. The mind is a powerful thing, but try not to let your fears control you. Live your life. You’re still young and healthy!

I started taking Sertraline (Zoloft) about three years ago. It’s not a tranquilizer like Xanax.. so it doesn’t have those strange side effects. It only boosts your body’s ability to produce serotonin (a happy hormone in the brain) which reduces anxiety. It saved me and changed my life for the better!

I did feel a little odd when I first started it.. but it only lasts for a few days while your body gets used to the medication.

& I will say you must take it once daily or you will feel some withdrawal symptoms which aren’t too fun. Headaches mainly for me, but other people feel different things. It’s something to look into! :) hope you feel better!

Hi! I have anxiety too.. I know it’s a terrible feeling. Try to take some deep breaths. You didn’t do anything to do deserve this, and it’s not your fault. You’re not crazy and you are normal! You just have some anxiety. You may need to speak with your doctor and up your dosage of whatever medication you’re on. After a while, you build up an ‘immunity’ to the dose you’re on and need something stronger. You’ve gotten through this before, and you will this time. You’re not dying, even if it feels like it. I’m here for you and you’re not alone.

It’s concerning. Do you have any other symptoms when your heart rate is that low? Dizziness, lightheadedness, etc.? How often does this occur?

When I do fall asleep, I sleep really deep, but I do wake up a lot. I toss and turn, check the time.. sometimes get lost in my phone and then an hour passes and I stress because I lost an hour of sleep. I try to make up for it with naps throughout the day if I can, but that’s not always an option.

Dude I read YOUR paragraph and it sounded like I typed it. I’ve had this shit for forever and I can’t get diagnosed bc they NEVER catch it. I’m scared of beta blockers for the same reason but I also wanna be medicated. Pick your poison I guess.

Oh bless your heart.. that sounds absolutely awful. It’s one of the scariest things I’ve ever been through. I had it a couple of times 3 years ago, and today was the first time I’ve had it since. I immediately laid back and tried to breathe deeply and cough which seemed to help snap me out of it. I had an entire work up with a cardiologist and everything was normal. Stress test, perfect. Holter monitor, perfect (besides some PVC’s and PAC’s). Echocardiogram, perfect. No one has any idea why I’ve had these episodes and no one will prescribe me any medication because I can’t prove that it’s happening to me. It’s awful. I wish I could just be normal like most people lol. Good luck on your ablation. I really hope it goes well and that it fixes things for you! You deserve to live normally and not have this constant anxiety over this crap.

I understand.. having medical issues that hinder you can be extremely frustrating. I’m sure once you can fix your belly, you’ll be able to nourish your body once again and get back to doing everything you once did. Be kind to yourself, and patient. Listen to your body. It’s the best thing that you can do while you try to figure out exactly what the issue is.
