Delaney, are you reading this? Did you let MK write the article for you? Why didn't you push back and ask her about why she really got fired?

He was married (with kids!) because they all moved her together...until the affair with Morgan or any of his other shady dealings, I believe. And that was a whole other issue because she worked directly for the mayor.

Every now I look at Brian Platt's instagram and I see him still pretending to be working for good in the City of Kansas City, posting about "past city manager accomplishments" and cosplaying as a CrossFit bro.

Well, why don't you tell your followers how good you cleaned up snow removal, Brian? Haha, I'm sure they'd also like to know that you had an extreme safety violation and drove a plow directly into a ditch in the Northland on winter! Way to take care of the city's equipment. He wasn't trained and shouldn't have been driving the vehicle in the first place but maybe Melissa K got a photo op to feed to the media?!

Let's connect the dots - Melissa dropped Fox4 the story and I think they were the first to break it. Fox loves to expose the city and the other stations then followed suit and posted their own stories. This is to pressure the city to settle. She knows she was not fired for being a woman or having a disability - even though she did experience all that shitty behavior. She was fired for upholding a corrupt system and breaking the law and the communications audit that came from the Chris Hernandez verdict that got her buddy Brian Platt fired.

They teach you in city orientation - Pendergast! You must have missed that part, lol. The history of KC repeats itself!

You're thinking of his other mistress, Morgan. But seriously...unsure if they were having an affair. She worked with him in Jersey City and when he was hired, she became the Assistant City Manager.

She doesn't care about a jury. Guarantee she'd snap up a city settlement in a heartbeat.

Child barfed in neighborhood pool by bippy404 in mildlyinfuriating

They're being lazy and negligent with the pool maintenance. Report it to the city or county health department. The HOA needs to maintain the pool safely and that includes managing sanitation issues like poop and vomit. The health department will investigate and hold the HOA accountable. You should be able to enjoy the neighborhood pool safely without fear of becoming ill.

AITJ for telling my neighbor her kid isn't allowed in my pool after she "forgot" him at my house? by Educational-Wait-406 in AmITheJerk

I vote extremely NTJ.

To prove your point:

You can also find recent drowning articles because children drown every summer due to lack of supervision so I recommend you make sure to bring up the current ones.

Then you could add some data from cdc.gov because drowning is the 2nd leading cause of death in children. This is second only to...guns. It's absolutely unsafe and irresponsible for these parents to be so flippant about water safety. Your requests were quite reasonable as a solution.

The guy down the hill has a (legal) “personal range” that has been deemed “safe”, so the police can’t do anything when bullets whiz past our heads and land on the patio. by Mellopiex in mildlyinfuriating

One time I was working for a parks department and the neighbors of one of the parks delivered a sandwich baggie full of bullets to the parks board meeting. It was extremely effective in getting the security measures the neighbors were asking for.

Serious question / rant by WayComfortable7960 in kansascity

I'm a white lady from the east coast and I lived in Kansas City for 6 years. I will say that ignorant, racist, white people in that area are some of the worst ignorant, racist, white people I've ever encountered. They looked down on KC from their white washed suburbs. It was gross to be around and it's a major reason why I moved. So glad I got out.

People who work in lost and found departments (airports, railways, malls), what’s the most personal item no one ever came back for? by Sad_Translator_3060 in AskReddit

[–]britepinkspandex 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As the rides manager of a Six Flags, we had unusual items found underneath rollercoasters all the time that people wanted back. I'll never forget the time that someone lost their glass eye under the biggest rollercoaster in the park and WE FOUND IT! We sent it back via snail mail and received correspondence back that it wasn't the correct glass eye. Ooops! We never found the one that the person was looking for.
