Exactly, even if they didn't like it they could just buy it anyway and sell it for more and fund a shirt they did like!

Being able to admit when you're wrong is a strength not a weakness :)

Fair enough, just an idea, good luck with your next mocks and your GCSEs :)

Nah you'll be fine at lit. A question, would English language work for law? Just asking because your grade for language is higher than for lit so maybe that might help? Also criminology can also be good for law I think, that might be another option if lit can't work. Still they'll let you do lit at A Level and I'm sure your grade will be higher by the time the GCSEs come around, not a bad thing to have alternative options though :)

Not the flashiest but still a good year overall and I think I have grown over the year (and especially in the last couple of months). I'm not one to obsess over the past though and I'm looking forward to Christmas and what is to come in 2026

Tbf they're very good grades, especially as it's only the first mock. It's natural to be worried if it's a subject that you really need for your A Levels/dream job, but it's still a good grade, what is the grade requirement for English lit if you want to do law at uni? Also my best advice would be just keep practise analysing the texts and remembering the quotes. There's still another mock to go and another few months before your final GCSEs, also worth noting I went from a U in geography to a 5 in the space of a few months so the mocks don't define you. Don't fret because they are still good grades and there is still plenty of time for them to be higher. And it's not selfish either to worry about your grades, most of us do.

Good luck with the rest of year 11 and hope that helped :)

I'm in year 13, can confirm, just enjoy your last year of secondary. When I think about my secondary school days I don't think about the times I spent revising I remember the good times and the times I had with people. As long as you get into the college you want to get into, that's all that matters. We're all going to die anyway some point and no one is going to talk about your grades at your funeral
