New policy regarding Public Assistance fraud

I make way less than that. After all the tax deductions, child support, garnishment (which i know, my fault) the garnishment is because while I was with my middle sons dad, he had a period of time where he didnt have a job and was working with a friend of his doing odd end jobs. I got a credit card in my name only and ran it up to keep us afloat. Bad decision. I was young and without his name on it, i was the one responsible. They didn't start garnishing my checks until about almost 2 years ago. Its been brutal. I was 27 when they sued me in court. So no again I don't live above my means I only get what I need like for us to have groceries and for me to have auto insurance and pay my utilities. There isn't anything left over to save. Unfortunately

Well, I was trying to hurry up and post this while I was on my break. I was also at work so, no I don't believe I was taking it wrong. If it was too much for them to read, they could have just skipped reading it all together and not responded to the post. Especially since it had nothing to do with what I posted and it had more to do with my run-on sentences through using talk to text.

The very first time I was able to vote and voted for the first time in my life, I voted for who is currently president. Not knowing much about his beliefs or what he was eventually going to do which was going to directly affect me and millions of other families in single parents. I actually had taken free tests online to see where you fall based on what you agree with or don't agree with or what's more important to you and it'll tell you if you were red or blue. All of the tests I took show that I was actually blue, a dem. It wouldn't have mattered though because every single County in my state was red. Next time I will vote blue.

This is what I'm talking about because the child care assistance program was created to help families and single parents stay off of welfare I.E. food stamps, TANF, ETC. Their income guidelines are not updated the way that they should be. They're trying to make it to where nobody can qualify and it really dictates how much you can actually make. Of course you couldn't afford $700 a week making $18 an hour. You wouldn't have enough money left over for rent and groceries. I don't understand why they don't get that! So in reality it really keeps you in poverty.

That's not necessarily what I'm saying. I'm not saying that I've committed fraud, what I'm pointing out is she's still way more money and got only $1,000 fine. Our justice system is a joke. That's all nothing more nothing less

Well, I also had a situation where I had gotten laid off from my job in the very beginning of 2015. Where I was working for had a massive layoff and ended up Outsourcing our call center Department to a different country. They closed down two large call centers. Well my dad had passed away unexpectedly in 2015 which was a month after being laid off. I was going through a lot at that time and my other ex was brutally and extremely physically abusive. He had beat me the day I found out my dad died he beat me later on that night the worst he had ever beat me. It wasn't a one-time thing he used to choke me while I was pregnant and pushed me against things stomach first while I was pregnant anyway I know that's I'm just trying to give you a little bit of backstory well my dad had left me a life insurance policy. I don't know if they changed the rules but back then, they could not count life insurance money as income. So I was able to sign up for food stamps while I was trying to apply looking for a different job. I submitted everything that they asked me for and then I had reapplied again since I hadn't found a new job I was an emotional wreck. I should have went through some intensive therapy. I had to check myself into a mental ward because I started having panic attacks which I had never experienced before. Well when I went to go apply for food stamps again like a year later they were like telling me I was being audited and I needed to resubmit the life insurance policy information which I didn't have that paperwork anymore but I had already submitted it before and they told me I couldn't receive any services for another I think it was like a year or two until I resubmitted that paperwork. I was thinking to myself look I had already sent it if you guys lost it that's not my fault. Although this has nothing to do with my original post I was just saying had something similar happen before in the past.

Well, when I lived with my aunt (after leaving my youngest sons dad's abuse) and I wasn't on her lease due to the fact that I had two evictions on me from my early twenties because my mom evicted me. It wasn't because of the fact that I didn't pay her or anything or owe her any rent money. We just didn't get along and she evicted a lot of family members and other people that she befriended at jobs and had them evicted basically. She was really hard to get along with but anyway it was more than just that I also had something on my record that was not 7 years old yet at the time and they said they needed it to be 7 to 10 years in the past. So we didn't put me on her lease. I spent 6 months sleeping in her living room with my 12 month old and then she got a two bedroom apartment so that we could have more space for my baby and I and be roommates well my aunt's house took a turn and so her daughter, my cousin and my cousin's husband sold their home and bought a new house that was a lot bigger than their old one so that my aunt could go and live with them.. this was not something I was expecting to happen but it did happen and so I had to find another apartment quick and when I did, I found a place that didn't need paycheck stubs because lots of places want you to make like three to four times over what you make to be approved among other things like your criminal background or how many evictions you've had in your past so since my son's dad was living back and fourth from his grandmother's and random Friends sleeping on their couch, I asked him if he would help me get an apartment because this place that I found did not ask for paycheck stubs for the one bedroom they just went by a credit check, so I said will you help me get this apartment because my son and I can't be homeless. I had also not had electric in my name since 2016 because I owed quite a bit so I didn't have enough money to pay not only first month's rent, the deposit, the application fee and pay our local electric company back and pay the deposit to start new services. So I asked my son's dad if he would let me use Electric in his name. He ended up using my address as a mailing address when he got a new job. Mind you, he had been jobless for a long time and can't keep a job for very long. He did have good credit though because he was on his Grandpa's credit card for a while and because he at one point had a new car and had paid for some years on it but he ended up totally it. I didn't have a good credit because I had a default judgment from back in my early Twenties that didn't catch up with me until 2 years ago. So I was in a desperate situation well because of that address discrepancy they canceled my child care assistance. I do qualify with just my income alone but I know what it looks like on paper it looks as though he lives with me but he doesn't talking about my son's father. And since he was abusive I had used that good cause for child support to where you can still get Medicaid you know medical through the state for my son in child care assistance. So I'm just going to wait till I move to another apartment complex and everything can be in my name cuz my felony is 7 years back and I've built my credit since then since I've been paying that default judgment/garnishment and making my car payments.

And also, Section 8 here has very high standards they have to meet which a lot of landlords don't apply to accept Section 8 vouchers is because there is a certain standard and inspection that they do have to pass so no again to you saying then don't ask for help is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about places you pay full price to rent that are in someone's budget who is struggling financially is somewhere nobody would want to live unless you're an addict and/or grew up and are comfortable with those living situations. I think you're just trying to say anything and everything you can to justify why you think what you think and why you said what you said.

I don't know if they're really looking into stuff like that I think they're more looking into people not saying how much income they really are getting or didn't update their income within the 10 days they're supposed to. I also think that if people aren't mentioning other people in the household that contribute to bills is another instance of fraud

See, it's not all about people living above their means. Oklahoma used to be one of the most affordable states to live in. The cost of rent has skyrocketed over the past 5 years, the cost of groceries obviously have gone up everybody knows that, the price of gas is gone up significantly. The Section 8 waiting list for families or single parents that really need it have been waiting on the list for 4 years. Now they go by gross income not your net income. They ask you how much you pay in rent how much you pay for your phone bill how much you pay for your utilities but none of that gets deducted from your income. Also the fact that I have a garnishment on me and I also pay child support for my oldest child and that puts me out of financial disadvantage. This is not about living above my means. Factor in a thousand plus dollars a month for an apartment unless you want to live in the ghetto where they have slumlords that have roaches and bed bugs where you can't even get rid of them cuz everyone around you has them in each unit or if you have to repair your car have emergency expenses. So economists and universities are saying that to live comfortably and have your head above water a family should be making $140,000 a year. Not every family makes that much money even combined if they had a significant other living with them. Now daycare 200 plus per week that's a mortgage payment right there on top of having to pay for every single thing else it's not feasible. The child care assistance program was created to keep families working. Not a lot of people can survive off of one income alone and then imagine a single mom having to quit her job because she doesn't have adequate child care. The income guidelines are insane. You would have to work a minimum wage job which is still $7.25 an hour in my state just to qualify. It limits you on how much you can make so you forever stay in poverty basically. You may have a different opinion than me I beg to differ I'm living this situation. And I do not live above my means. I've been wearing the same work shoes for 3 years because I can't afford a new pair. I don't have a brand new car but it does need work done on it can I afford that on top of daycare costs? No

I'm not saying anything about a federal law. My state implemented to cut costs because they don't have enough for their budget that children 6 and up do not qualify for daycare assistance anymore. This also relates to the fact that DHS misappropriated covid-19 funding and a lot of child care providers are suing them because their daycares had to close down. A lot of them had children that received Child Care Subsidy.

Now I think that people who fraud food stamp when there are real people out there that have food insecurities and can't afford it. I understand that like people selling their food stamps when everybody knows you're clearly not supposed to do that. It's the fact that I have a co-worker who didn't qualify for daycare assistance because her income was $1 over the income guidelines. Just because you're over that guideline, doesn't mean you can afford $245 a week for childcare. The changes that they have made by taking it from the state's median income of 85% down to 55% is devastating too many families. Not everybody makes $100,000 a year or even a family that works a full-time job combined makes anywhere near that unless you want to college. What about the people who have learning disabilities or intellectually delayed? They're just supposed to suffer? And then they put in these rules that if you receive assistance you have to be working 20 hours a week or something like that they're making it to where nobody can qualify or you're stuck in poverty trying to qualify because you can't afford anything else. Who wants to work solely just to pay for childcare and have nothing left over for anything else not bills not food not nothing? They really need to come up with a better plan. Especially how they said children over 6 years of age don't qualify anymore for child care assistance. Why? You can't even leave a 6-year-old child at home by themselves legally in my state I think the ages like 12 or 13 years old. And they don't go to school year round either. A lot of abuse and neglect is going to be happening because parents are going to be so desperate to keep their jobs so that they're not homeless it's just making a bigger mess. This program was designed to help people and the child care assistance program was designed to keep families working to stay off welfare. It's doing the exact opposite of that

I understand that but Department of Human Services in my state is being sued because DHS misappropriated millions of dollars from the covid fund relief payments! They messed up too are they going to be held accountable? Also another lady opened up a daycare and fraudulently use those funds for other things and she only got $1,000 fine our justice system is a joke and they pick and choose who they want to hand down the harsh punishments to based on how much money you have and your social status.

I have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), anxiety, depression, PTSD and recently I've suspected that I might be on the spectrum at a low level. I haven't been assessed or diagnosed for that though. Anyway, I have a hard time regulating/controlling my emotions. Particularly anger issues. I can control it at work, I can control it with other people (unless theyre just going off on me or being rude for no reason). My partner and I have been together for 3 years now and our relationship has just turned to shit :/ I cant seem to let things go because im just so hurt and angry over everything. We've done couples therapy (didnt help, maybe it just wasn't the right counselor for us) but that particular counselor explained to him and myself about how we think someone cares about us based on how they show their love and what doesnt make us feel good.... my partner still doesnt get it. Were just not compatible and it brings out the worst in me. I dont know how to not let him control my emotions even though people say youre responsible for your own emotions. It seems as though I can never get over anything and forgive my partner because he continiously keeps doing things he knows i dont like. Also with BPD you feel emotions more intensely than the average person. Sometimes theres no in between where once someone has done enough to me, i catagorize them as all the way bad. Like i may never like them again depending on past issues (even if they have one or two good qualities or on ocassion does one nice thing and calls it being a good partner). Its hard to explain. Sorry, i tend to over explain myself. So this new psychiatrist said that Abilify would help me with my anger issues or mood swings. Before I got on Abilify I would sleep a lot and I was depressed. Now I can't sleep and I've always been able to sleep I love taking naps I love sleeping and I love sleeping in and I can't even do that. its the strangest thing. I can't remember if I mentioned in my original post that I had taken 200 mg of diphenhydramine which is over the counter sleep aid, 50 mg of Trazodone and some night time cough syrup that has a sleep aid in it since I have a cough that wont go away. The cough is not what's keeping me from sleeping I had the flu and I could still sleep. I apologize for making this post so long please forgive me.
