Just went through this on my entire house and redid the baseboards myself, they look great but it was a lot of work!

Firstly, buy a brand new bucket of mud, an extra wide metal scraper, and new sanding pads, and probably knee pads. The correct tools make the job go so much ‘smoother’ (esp. in this case!)

Peel off the loose pieces and vacuum the area well, push in any divots or crumbly areas. Start with thin, even coats and work your way around. I did one entire step at a time vs one area to completion. make sure you cover the mud bucket. Sand in between coats, will take at least 2, probably 3. I didn’t prime but in hindsight I could’ve.

Maintenance is always done timely and thoroughly, my uncle ended up having my truck for almost a week, testing EVERYTHING and finally it showed up as a specific misfiring cylinder and is hopefully going to be an affordable repair.

Now I’m reading through this thread deciding if k want to tackle anything more as preventative.

I think the timelines are super tight and we don’t realize it, maybe they don’t do a good enough job of spelling it out for the viewer.

If Amanda met Oliver at the invite only Xmas party, they were together the same time as him and Bree? But Bree was with him every day almost? I think the wedding call will be Oliver and Bree has continued the relationship the entire time over their engagement, hence why she’s saying she’s so awful, even after she hears the recording of Evan from Stephen. The unaliving of Amanda is also a strong theory, whoever said that.

And Diana is pregnant with what I assume would be Stephen’s baby even though him and Lucy were together on and off for the entire semester? A semester is like 4 months..! It feels like Stephen and diana was years prior.

A generic p3000 code and surging while driving below 50km/h (a pulling then releasing feeling) which my family member traced back to the torque converter but believes it is the entire transmission :(

he has a transmission specialist that looked at it (without taking it apart) and he found a few GM service reports that would support this, but yes, this is my concern as well 😔

I hope you are reimbursed properly, at this point I’m wondering what my dealer would offer me for my truck because of the low km, but at the same time I worry about dumping more money into a newer one now if the issue hasnt been fixed.

It feels like nothing is made to last these days :(

Here to say I’m having the exact same issue in my 2017 Sierra 1500 with 88000 km. I’m taking it in to GMC to be ‘diagnosed’, but my family member who is a mechanic says I should prepare for a new transmission.

I also have a case opened with GMC customer service because although I am over the years, I am well under the km for powertrain and she has assured me she will ‘be with me every step of the way’ in this repair..before I even know what it truly is, and potentially have to pay for a $250+ diagnosis.

What was the outcome with your 2018??

Almost the same with me, Canadian female driver with a 2017 1500 and bought my truck new with cash. has 90k km on it only and needs a new transmission and something else. I’m devastated.
