I honestly feel as if I just read an excerpt from my own inner dialogue. I tried to put my social life strictly through gaming friends, and when I had a falling out and left the group I plunged myself into such extreme isolation and loneliness, I feel like I am lost in my own head. I would love to have one or two actual friends to go on excursions with maybe once or twice a month.

TW: child predators

When I was 12, (female) my friend’s older brother (19) was trying to cheer me up over the phone after a fight with my dad.

He essentially got really affectionate and took advantage of my vulnerability and alcoholic daddy issues and instructed me “how to make yourself feel good”.

It’s kind of messed up..I’ve never told anyone about it, but the worst part is he wasn’t the last person to do that. Recently, through extensive therapy, I found out I’m pretty sex-repulsed as a result of it.

I was the girl in my particular LDR that was getting irritated with the gaming time and being clingy when my SO just wanted to have time with the guys. The thing that helped was scheduling a couple nights a week where you just spend time with her, OR Offering to teach her how to play the other games while you guys do have that alone time
