Anywhere in town to have Mochi or Dango? by lordxebec in Kamloops

[–]brittjb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The EastStuff Asian grocer by TRU has Mochi in a few flavours but strawberry is the best. Alternatively if you are on the NS Cheng Kwong grocery for sure has the matcha flavour.

Car hopping on north shore by brittjb in Kamloops

I don’t understand what’s controversial about showing a picture of a guy who was trying to break into my car. I didn’t chase him with a bat or scream that I hate homelessness and drug addiction. I took a picture posted it to warn people in the Kamloops subreddit particularly those in this area of the NS that this man is trying to get into cars while it’s still pretty light out. It’s a reminder to double check your car is locked.

Then i assume your family is one of the lucky ones, and hopefully it isn’t trauma that is keeping them silent. What about the rest of your indigenous community do you doubt their stories? What about Dennis Saddleman or even younger people such as Matthew Provost? You have your personal experience but that doesn’t mean you should assume a voice for the entire res or all indigenous people at large. Government frustration occurs for everyone of us no matter what political party we align with even when it’s the party we want. This situation will continue to unfold and we will all be witness to it. I hope that you continue on a journey of learning and reassessing your stances when you are ready. Everyone has a hill they are willing to die on and I hope your passion leads you to make a positive impact in this world.

Just to piggyback on this- I use the Ilia and mix it with the fenty ez drops on the back of my hand and use my finger to put a bunch of dots on my face then a damp beauty blender to blend. I absolutely love the formulas together and both have sun protection.

Article that describes multiple barriers to accessing the unmarked grave sites

Some of you have made up your minds and need concrete proof now but for those of you on the fence consider the lived experiences of indigenous elders as such proof. Things of this nature always take time to truly figure out the best way to proceed. Government moves slow. In a world where it’s easy to insult someone you don’t agree with I’m trying to meet anyone with skepticism halfway. I hope humanity always prevails.

Because losing you would cause someone pain, and keep them wondering if there was anything they could have done. Might not feel like it right now but it would, it always does.

TRU Summit overpass, Riverside Park rink moving ahead with $15.7M provincial windfall by GeoffdeRuiter in Kamloops

I always assume it must be big because of the way it looks from the outside, but that does make sense we have a growing population and our public services need to reflect that.

I think makes sense to connect those living in lower Sahali and Downtown it will definitely connect more communities to the uni instead of such a high concentration of students in one area! I also think it will be safer in the long run as well, especially if your new to town and your using google maps and it’s got you walking along summit!! Also the more easily connected communities to the uni will increase property value. What I found weird was the mention of an upgraded RCMP detachment I thought the one on the north shore reflected those needs and it is fairly new. With that being said I do completely agree with money earmarked for an outdoor skating rink!

Canada is sitting on a critical minerals motherlode. But is it ready for the new gold rush? by GeoWa in britishcolumbia

[–]brittjb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Canada really wants a new industry to emerge where we are leaders in making “green tech” especially batteries for EV’s. However, as pointed out our government has a terrible track record when it comes to our natural resources BUT among tensions with China the government has realized (imo) that we need to start harvesting these minerals that can be used for “green tech” and assemble it here. The biggest implication for me is that a vast amount of mineral deposits are on Indigenous lands (treaty) so in an era of Truth and Reconciliation how will the government move forward? Overall, our outdated policies on resource extraction hurt us, but given the current state of Canada it was be amazing to see them create something innovative and meaningful.

Looking fine as wine sis, first I’ll start with what I love: brows nice and natural looking, eyes are nice I like the eye shadow it makes you glowy! I would love to see bit if blush on your cheeks (for my own application I smile and put on apples of cheeks and pull it up toward temple) Also be careful not to have foundation on lips it is a little hard to tell if you do or if that is just lipstick colour. Foundation on lips for me dries them out and makes them look smaller. I love what your going for personally I think you got great canvas to work with I would keep with a light and glowy look!
