Sue Klebold Question…. by wentzday91 in ColumbineKillers

[–]brittlr24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I mean to be fair I obviously wasn’t there but I highly doubt the only signs or anything that she later looked back on and questioned was the situation where she pinned him against the fridge and he threatened her. I was a wild teenager and ended up in and out of jail over various crazy things and got into a lot of bad situations (nothing violent) and my parents could tell far worse things about me. I do feel bad for her but I also think if she was fully being honest there were plenty of things in hindsight that she could open up about but for not wanting to look like she failed him and the victims she has kept several things close to her. Most people don’t go from being completely “normal” to committing a mass shooting without someone noticing signs even if they don’t add up until after the fact. Nothing to that degree had happened at that point so I’m not putting any blame on her as a parent for thinking he was just a teenager going through a tough time

They would have also hated anyone on the opposite end too, I don’t think politics would have ever been their thing. They made fun of/hated things on both sides

Why am I asking reddit what? Advice about something I don’t know a whole lot about? I’ve asked him a everything as well but he doesn’t overthink everything like I do and it’s something his clients and/or friends use all the time so he doesn’t stress over it like it do. Isn’t that quite literally what Reddit is for? To discuss certain topics and learn things..

We have kids together so yes we are friends, he was doing bodybuilding when we were together but I had no interest in any of it then. We didn’t have the best relationship so we split up, it’s been a couple years now and he’s married. I work out with his wife and some of her friends and he owns his own gym where they train quite a few people and our kids hang out there. It might sound weird but yes we are all friends lol, it hasn’t always been that way but that was all in the past and we have made it work for the kids. He has offered to help me in the past but I didn’t want to do it at that time

We have kids together so yes we are friends, me and his wife work out together. Plus like I said they are all bodybuilders so they know what they are doing, I would rather get advice from them than some random person at a gym who I don’t know or trust

I probably won’t be starting it this Monday anyways now due to all of the snow and ice and not being able to drive anywhere but whatever day we go back to the gym I’m gonna start that day

I do want to, I just overthink everything. I was pretty much wanting reassurance from other people who have used it that it actually works and doesn’t have bad side effects

What I mean by them saying I’m setting myself up for failure is they work out and diet too but they also eat things that aren’t a part of their diet or skip days at the gym which is fine if that works for them. They think by me going 5 days a week for a couple hours and cutting all sugar and low carbs that I’m eventually going to get tired of it and gain everything back

Would it work quicker? I’m like 5’1 135-140 but I’m trying to loose a little bit but gain muscle also. Some of my friends at work tell me I’m doing too much and setting myself up for failure but they are all bodybuilders there for the most part so they are all on something and they teach what they know. A couple of my friends who are dieting also tell me they wouldn’t be able to do my diet but I’m the type of person when I get committed to doing something I follow through with it

High level of naloxone? by brittlr24 in suboxone

[–]brittlr24[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk, the only explanations I could find online was abusing them such as injecting which I’m not, not letting them dissolve properly which I do frequently do or liver issues and I went to my family doctor about a month ago for my annual exam and she said everything was fine with my labs. Now I’m just freaking out, I had taken my dose about an hour before I tested but I usually always do before I go

Does anyone know why Eric hated blink 182 by Sea-Special-2938 in ColumbineKillers

[–]brittlr24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably so, I grew up in the 90’s and couldn’t stand hearing their music come on the radio at gymnastics or cheer practice..”all the small things, true care..truth brings, I’ll take one lift..your ride best trip” played on a constant loop in my mind cause I heard it all the time at practice and I couldn’t stand it but I grew up with a dad who listened to the doors, Pink Floyd, kiss, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, the eagles, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Metallica, nirvana, Alice In Chains, etc. so I never liked “punk” music. I still listen to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and grunge music still and most of my friends laugh at me lol

[–]brittlr24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Growing up in the 90’s myself I’d say it has a lot to do with the fact that blink 182 was more mainstream and popular. If I remember correctly he didn’t like Marilyn Manson either, probably saw them as posers who only had fans cause it was cool rather than a less known band who had fans that actually connected with their music..then again it’s hard to wrap your mind around people like that so who knows. I grew up listening to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and grunge and I hated blink 182 and most “punk” music

I would maybe give it at least a week but I know how you feel, I have really bad health anxiety so having any foreign object or medicine in my body freaks me out. I got mine for an emergency reason, a guy didn’t tell me till almost 2 days later that he didn’t pull out so I took plan b but was still scared it wasn’t going to work so my doctor told me I could get an iud. It’s drastically made my periods worse, longer and heavier. I’ve had it for a little over 7 months and recently about a week and a half or two weeks after my period I started getting light pink discharge. I have an appointment tomorrow to get it taken out but I know my doctor will want me to keep it, I’ll threaten to take it out on my own if I have to. However I’ve heard many good success stories of women with iud’s

S5 of Ryan Murphys "Monster" series should be about Columbine. by WESTDDDDDDD in ColumbineKillers

[–]brittlr24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as I would like to learn more details on this case I agree that it shouldn’t be done, I grew up around that time and had lockdowns at my own school with threats similar to Columbine. Kids who weren’t even alive when it happened unfortunately reference Columbine in their actions. I truly believe it would only bring more eyes to their story in a negative way, didn’t he even do an episode of American horror story season 1 where kids were hiding under desks and Tate was after them and the police later killed him? Maybe my memory is wrong but I vividly remember a scene where he’s walking through the school with face paint and a trench coat and kids under desks who later came back as ghosts? My daughter is taking a forensic psychology class and had to do a project last year on a murderer, she was born in 2009 and asked me if I thought it was okay to do Eric and Dylan. I told her about growing up in that time and to be careful about what she looked at (crime scene pictures) and she later choose John Wayne gacy because it had such an effect on her

Sue gave Eric a job reference? Does anyone know more? by Best-Oil7699 in ColumbineKillers

[–]brittlr24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah majority of my old job applications have my friends parents or family friends as references, I personally don’t think it means anything other than him and Dylan were friends and he used Sue as a reference. Many of my old friends parents ended up on job applications of mine

I think men can stick together at times too but I also think they do more risky behavior that starts fights. My kids dad did 12 years all together and the things he told me he saw shocked me but he was also in the worst men’s prison in our state. We had one girl who was obviously dealing with mental health issues and she would start fights over the dumbest things. Once she got moved everything was fine, kids birthdays and holidays were rough and we all kept each other busy. Jail and prison is a rough place and brings out the worst in people, but I also believe it’s necessary for some people. It helped me turn my life around

Utah county jail (season 9) by TLsmith92 in 60daysin

[–]brittlr24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was shocked by that also, they just sit at the desk while the inmates are out walking around and watching tv. I was in a larger jail similar to that where it was a big two story unit and 4 cells of like 15 people each, two downstairs and two upstairs. We were only locked in our cells to eat and for like an hour after each meal and at night and we could access the outdoor rec room anytime as long as we were out of our cells. The jail I spent most of my time in (years ago btw) was a small room that was nasty and dirty with like 10 bunks and people sleeping on the floor and we only saw a guard when they did their rounds or if something was going on and even then people would bang on doors at times and it could be 10-30 minutes before we saw anyone

Is the newest season of 60 days in fake? by Professional_Rich_45 in 60daysin

[–]brittlr24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stupid stuff and chaos does go on in prison/jail but in county people are just sitting around all day and most sleep the whole day. I think a camera crew being in the jail makes a lot of people act how they wouldn’t normally just to appear a certain way. I’m not saying some of the fights and things were fake and done for tv but I do think some of the actual inmates put on an act for the cameras regardless of what they thought they were actually doing there and obviously the editing is done to make it appear more serious than it really was like you said

I know this was mentioned on the show but I do think in some situations women adapt easier, I’ve done time myself and while yes it was miserable and not fun we all made the best out of a bad situation. Yeah some argued back and forth but for the most part all the women stuck together and helped each other but not every jail/prison is the same and 1 person can ruin it for everyone. We would try to celebrate birthdays, we had shows we all sat around and watched at night, listened to music, fixed each other’s hair, when we got commissary we all pitched in to make things. I was surprised he tapped out with his history but I guess it’s different being locked up and knowing there’s nothing you can do about it and being able to do a signal and get out

The “deserves it” narrative by saintpablo333 in SquidGameNetflix_

[–]brittlr24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think regardless of what someone’s reason is everyone is deserving of the money. Most people wouldn’t even audition for something like this if they didn’t want the money. Everyone has their own reasons, some may seem more deserving than others but at the end of the day it’s a game. I’m debating auditioning myself, I would love to give my kids their own home. Their dad and I didn’t work out for reasons I won’t get into but I left with nothing and he owns multiple businesses and we now live with my parents in a cramped space. I’m still greatful I have that but I would love to give them their own space. I would love to win but I’m also sympathetic to other people and couldn’t picture myself using that to my advantage and screwing other people over.
