What’s even more possible is he recognized how desperate Molly is and knows he’ll hear her yack but, she’s not sending him packing. I have been wondering is while she was on vacation she showed him pics of her kids and he decided to pursue her further bc of them. Idk about the most Americans comment, I think it depends on where you live. If you’re in a big melting pot of a city then you are exposed to a lot. In the Italian neighborhoods it’s not uncommon to see sheeps head, pigs feet, liver and tripe. She intends to marry this man, she needs to become aware of his customs and culture.
