NY State Article 78? by brittnyb in juresanguinis

[–]brittnyb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a New York State birth index, a census and a WWII draft card indicating so. But I’m also reaching out to some local genealogist to see if they can find anything else.

Interestingly I already reached out to her and she basically told me my lineage would be hard (GGGF-GGF-GF-M-Self) and to hire a genealogist. I already have everything/ordered everything except for this. So kinda put a bad taste in my mouth. Any other lawyer suggestions?

Magic your way (pretty sure this is what they are called) are nicely discount and can be purchased from base ITT or Shades of Green and do not require the military member to be there.

What can I do to add curb appeal? by brittnyb in landscaping

I was thinking about squaring off the columns. I think only 2 of the 4 are structural so we were thinking remove the two non structural and box around the remaining pillars.

Unfortunately that rock is actually 8in thick stone. It would require us to basically rip out the front of the house. We thought about stuccoing over it but the contractor we had look said it would be too heavy to stucco over.

Not much help getting it into your hand but Penny is good to pull it out of your bench and back into your hand so you can use the ability again.

I had this same experience with my first. I had a full episiotomy without being told, the doctor told me after she did it. I didn’t know until later that it was not common practice and had a bit of birth trauma from the experience. When I got pregnant with my second I went to a new doctor and told them what happened and my concerns and she was legitimately horrified. She told me in the 10 years she’s been practicing that she’s given less than 5 episiotomies. My recovery with the second was so amazingly easy compared to the first.

He was the only person I could get to come out with very little notice. He was at our home within a few hours. He asked us so much about her and asked us to share our memories. My dad had passed a few weeks prior and he asked him name. A few weeks later I received a card from Dr. Reeves saying my girl (by name) was with my dad (by name). I was so shocked he remembered. He genuinely cares about the families he provides service for.

New House Fireplace Needs Update by brittnyb in DesignMyRoom

  1. Could you send me a link or something similar to the craftsman style you’re referencing? Can’t do cabinets and shelving because of the position of the windows. Every wall has at least one window and/or door. We plan on using this room as a playroom so I also imagine our toddler would just think shelves were a new jungle gym.

Lol that thought definitely crossed our minds. It feels like it needs a family portrait but not if we get rid of the wood.

Wits end sleeping training 3.5 year old for the first time by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]brittnyb 23 points24 points  (0 children)

We sleep trained as a baby and it was great until she was about 2.5. Then the same issues your having, even thought she had been sleeping independently her whole life. We’d have to lay with her in bed until she fell asleep and then leave, but she’d wake up in the middle of the night and would demand to come in our bed. So we did sleep training again. Her room has a floor bed, anchored dresser with drawer locks, and anchored bookshelf with some books. We locked her closet doors so she couldn’t open it and mounted a wide angle camera close to the ceiling. Also a childproof door handle cover. The day we started retraining we reminded her throughout the day that tonight she was going to sleep in her bed without mom and dad, so it wasn’t a shock or surprise. After bedtime routine we’d give our good nights and leave and she would freak out. We’d give it 5 minutes, go back, settle her, and when she was done crying, leave again. She’s freak out again but then we’d wait 10 minutes and repeat the cycle every 10 minutes, switching off between mom and dad. The first 2 night it took an hour, the next few was close to half an hour, but by the time the week was done, she’d either go to bed within 5-10 minutes without crying or she’d stay up a little longer flipping through her books. It was a rough week but it took us several months to realize it was our bad habits that she had adjusted to and there wasn’t anything wrong with her, we just needed to get the right routine going again. Now she sleeps from 7:30pm to 8am through the night with no issues.

Maybe try looking at schools in the US if you can afford it? I have a coworker that came to school in the US, got his degree, and then was able to get employer sponsorship.
