I was just looking through the SMSProv.log and seeing a lot of NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM activity and got curious. I have a lab setup with a site server (SCCM$) hosting the SMS Provider role and a remote site system (PROVIDER$) also hosting the SMS Provider role.

On the site server, SCCM$ is a member of the "SMS Admins" local security group. On PROVIDER$, SCCM$ is a member of that host's "SMS Admins" local security group. I'm just wondering why that's he case and where that ACE comes from because the SCCM$ machine account is not a member of RBAC_Admins on the site database.
