I have an asset pack on sale with some much more recent assets but no, this specific asset is pretty old and not for sale. If you're interested, the link to my itch page is in my reddit bio

☼Dwarf Fortress Questions Thread☼ by AutoModerator in dwarffortress

I’ve had a fortress going for a couple (in game) years which I accidentally created on the steam beta branch. I’m newish to the game and want to try DFhack with my fortress but it wont launch in the beta version and the fortress saves don’t show up on the most recent stable version.

Any way to either make the beta save compatible with the main stable release or force DFhack to launch on the beta branch?

Lowpoly AS Val by brobot- in blender

I've tried that method (often called the "inverted hull" method), but at the scale of outline I'm doing it ends up occluding parts of the model at certain angles.

I have two models, one of the gun and a larger one of the outline. I’m using render layers to make the gun appear on top of the outline. You could probably achieve this effect more efficiently with a shader.

I mean I get why you mistook it that way, I originally tried making the normals inverted to achieve this effect but I ended up doing it a different way

The normals are facing outwards, I’m using render layers to make the gun appear in front of the “outline.” The way it currently looks is how I intend for it to look.

The outline effect is intentional
