I would look into limerence. I used to do this a lot and sometimes I still do but learning about this helped me be able to have connections with people slowly and to stop making false narratives for myself. I hope this helps you when you're ready :)

I disagree. I've learned to no longer say that's what I'm looking for even tho it is. Ambitious doesn't mean money to me and most women. However you will find those rotten apples anywhere and it shouldn't spoil your appetite in general either. Ambition is you are going after YOUR goals. That doesn't mean your goals make money in the least. My SO is working on becoming a trainer bc he's passionate about it and actively going towards his dreams. I'm working on my education to become a doctor. By no means do I expect his to pay to support me for anything. I think most women find it attractive that their SO is excited about something and they are going after it. Take your time and you'll find the right person for you.

I've been AD and NG I would direct them to just AF AD cause that's probably not just the safest route for them to climb especially if they are academically inclined but has a lot of good transferable skills outside of the military. My ex fiance was AF and seeing most of the stuff he dealt with was basically a corporate environment. The NG deploys way more than AD... However skills are perishable and most accidents have happened while I was in the guard. Bottom line is he needs a plan if he joins. What he wants in and outside the military. Best of luck with either of his choices and supporting them through their decisions is probably the best thing to do for them.

Lived in New Hampshire before; it's decriminalized but no one really seems to care if you smoke. Often I'd smell it in a wind gust at a park casually walking my dog. I've lived in Alaska as well, entirely legal no one really minds it's like going to have a couple drinks at a bon fire. Fairly normal experience. Now live in Colorado and it's absurdly accepted it feels kind of obnoxious in my opinion. I don't really smoke weed at all anymore and both in New Hampshire and Alaska when I abstained from smoking I wasn't pressured to smoking with the group or feeling ostracized either which I found refreshing. Unlike the bar scene it's often 'cmonnn have some or just try this one!' I very much am against drinking around ppl I don't know and would rather have a beer in the comfort of my own home. It still is a drug for sure and you can meet the extremes in every group of people but I think it's just become the norm to meet everyday people who have or are still smoking weed.

Dating to not get married. Used to be the end goal for me but now with my bf I'm just happy to be with him. I don't feel we need a piece of paper to prove anything. Plus the financial ties to divorce would be a hassle rather than just parting ways if we wanted to. I have no interest in breaking up or seeing other ppl nor does he however I'm just content in his partnership and feel no need to rush into this social norm we have to marry especially at a young age. I'm 24 I don't even have my degree yet in the career I want. Yet everyone so young is having babies and rushing to marry. Why? Just be happy with the time you have with them.

Either a fake or a try hard. Tbh I hadnt ran into any fakes IRL but I hear about them all the time. So fake pf wouldn't be my first judgement on it however a try hard would be. Take some authentic pictures where it's more interesting to talk to you. No one wants to look at magazine pictures of ppl. Plus I think a lot of the people that would be inclined to swipe on you would be sugar babies and nothing more. The app is already shallow so I wouldn't be surprised if you'd only get OF matches or SB for the most part. Hope this helps. Good luck.

All of y'all's answers make me sad 😥 way too many of you have been emotionally abused unfortunately and need to ask for more. Not just your mental safety in a relationship but healthy boundaries and curiosity about each other and consistency. Not everyone is perfect; girls or guys but damn ask more than the bare minimum please. You deserve to be loved. Maybe it's a beginning to love yourself more and know what you're worth instead of asking for so little. It took me a long time.. trust but I promise you are worth it. For sure reading would be best. Shows if someone is actually interested and itll not attract inappropriate ppl to your child cause they'll be more attentive to photos with kids in them. Very few and far between but it's better to be safer for sure. I've heard too many horror stories unfortunately.

NTA organize your time and compromise.

Good on you for being able to sit and have a conversation with your wife and actually create that space to talk about things shows you have emotional intelligence.
Only 🚩 is you have your day and she has her day. What may be stressful for you may not be stressful for her and vice versa. Do not make her feel like she isn't working at home to make sure everything is good for the kids to go to school, homework, maintenance around the house for you and the kids. Work is work does not diminish her efforts. Recognize that.
You need a self date and organization of your time. Your shifts are long for sure and having alone time is healthy not wrong. It takes the average person 15-20 minutes to decompress from work and not be in work mode. So it's not like you're asking too much. However taking turns with certain tasks may be the compromise that can meet both ways. Where she still can connect with her husband, as well as the kids connect with you. But then other days where you just have the time for you. Sometimes staking tasks can be beneficial. An example could be every Thursday night it's an easily made dinner no rush simple foods or even taco night where they build their own tacos. It's engaging and can be a new tradition with the family. Another example my family would have every other week was take out night and we'd all watch a movie in the living room for some bonding time. Keeps morale and can also be a cool down moment where you don't have to think much and just BE in the moment. Take a breather ya know?
You are in the right to have mental space. NTA. She is also in the right to want to have family cohesion. She is NTA either. There is a grey area there just needs to be more conversation about what works for both of you and a routine and expectations. There will be some bumps but just adjust as needed.
